    They really do need to clean up some of the defensive zone giveaways. Chytil in particular had one making me want him benched for the night

    Idk..I’d Like to see period/chance breakdown. End of game might have skewed this to such a heavy chance total.

    I thought Devs had 3 strong, but brief, stretches with flurries, but Rangers controlled the chances otherwise.

    A few chances to start through the goal (Meier rebound chance and goal), 2 SH chances and 1-2 shifts after that, and then a ton of chances in last 7/8 mins when the game was basically out of reach.

    I know different sites have different criteria for their calculations but the difference between valley and moneypuck last night is pretty extreme.

    Valley has NYR at 2.63 to moneypuck 4.32
    Valley has NJD at 4.22 to moneypuck 3.6.

    This kind of validates a lot of the anxiety I had while watching the game last night from MSG. Rangers were very passive in the neutral zone when going after the puck or checking the Devils players, and were also very passive while defending their own zone.

    It seemed like Lindy and Fox were the only defensemen that wanted to make any type of heads up plays or step up to the Devils forwards. Miller and Trouba in particular stood out to me – a lot of puck watching and just skating backwards into their own zone while the devils pressed instead of challenging them. Rangers forwards also didn’t seem to want to cover the point that much and just let the Devils cycle the puck all around us.
