   I didn't want to get rid of nylander he's ready this year he's going to come out of a shell this season and score 20 to 30 goals it's going to be crazy I wanted him as a sabre. Put him with Patty Kane or Jonathan Toews and it's lights out Buffalo loses this trade nylander looked awesome in last year's preseason and it boggled my mind why he didn't stay with the team

   nylAnders work ethic sucks though he is an entitled player who didn't even show up to development camp this year he's a pedigree silver spoon Daddy's littlest boy so I hope this guy from Chicago has a better attitude and work ethic, if that's the case the Sabres win just on that.

    Montour-Dahlin, Miller-Pilut, Joki-McCabe. Trade risto for depth at forward or goalie. Sabres will win the Atlantic.

    People comparing Nylander to Strome are disillusioned. Strome was over a ppg in his lone AHL season, nylander has struggled to be a 0.5 ppg player over 3 years in the AHL. Keep in mind the americans were top 3 record wise this past year and top 3 in overall scoring… yet he still couldnt produce even with other forwards and prospects going over a ppg. Strome really didnt get much of a shot in arizona before they shipped him off. Nylander was given plenty of chances (including ice time with eichel– who proved this year that with competent wingers hes a 80-90+ point center) and he just never panned out.

    I feel like the strome move was arizona being desperate given the 2015 draft was stacked talent wise and they ended up somehow with one of the only top 10 picks that was a long term project and not an immedate top 6 forward/top 4 d-man. and thus traded him away to the hawks.

    Prospect was like a week ago. Hawks obviously weren’t impressed with Jokiharju development.
    Edit: oops, I meant prospect camp was just recent.

    To compare Nylander and Jokiharjus international achievements, Henri has won the U18, U20 and the men's world championship gold.

    Nylander has won just U18 and U20 silver

    Not that this comparison would be relevant to the trade, but still I think Buffalo won this trade 10-0 👌

    Hawks do need Forwards. They only had 10 currently signed to main roster. And it shows they had 1.036MM in cap room and they had to get Perlini signed still. They could send a goalie and D man down to have around 3 mil. So they could bring up 2 more F @ 1-1.5 mil. So Stan had a roster with 8 dman, 10F (perlini unsigned), 3 Goalies, and 1.036MM in cap.

    Hawks still need to move some cap out.

    In regards to this particular trade. The Hawks have some affinity towards young F prospects. With that said, is this the right kind of prospect they need at this time? I mean they did need a RW because Saad and Debrincat are a good LW combo who score and dish the puck;and though Kane can do it all, someone eventually has to take up 2nd line RW. I have Shaw penciled into that position right now.

    Buffalo got a really good defensive prospect who should have a shot at that Buffalo roster next season. We really think they got a steal from Chicago’s perspective. Hope he develops nicely for you and fits into your top 2/4.

    Chicago has defensive depth. Boquist, Beaudin, Mitchell, Vlasic, and Krsy all show great potential.

    This was one of those deals where he didn't fit the system and there wasn't any room for him. I think Chicago may be betting on Gustafsson stepping up his defensive game and having another 60pt season.

    The return is definitely weak, but it's interesting that they weren't offered more from other teams. There might be something we don't see here.

    I think Nylander just needed a change of scenery he didn’t seem to develop in the Sabers system maybe the blackhawks can help him develop more and maybe Buffalo wasn’t his ideal situation. What do you think Gravs
