  1. I think anything $3M per year or less and anything between 2 and 4 years is great for Mathieu Joseph.

  2. Joseph is certainly an interesting one. Would have him as one of the missing links in our top 6, with one more winger to go. Hopefully a Nick Paul like contract with shorter term is enough to get him signed

  3. On the Sens page I was like let’s win more games and I guess the Sens didn’t look at the Fb page. 60 minutes most games in November half of the game 1st period was really good the rest was not.

  4. Idk. I think you give a guy like Joseph a one year (maybe two) “show me” contract. Give him $2ish on a one-year. And let him decide his own fate. He plays above a third-line guy who can kill penalties, you reward him financially NEXT Summer. He doesn’t prove he’s more than that, you can offer him a $2-2.5 contract for 2-3 years.

  5. Snuggs could be a nice fit with Stützle. He’s a finisher with grit. I’ll be pissed if we take him at SEVEN. But who knows where we end up drafting. Currently we’re at 7 and 39 for our first two picks.

Edit: Personally, I’m not a huge fan of drafting guys with below average skating. Especially in the modern era. But we drafted Sokolov, and he came with that same problem.

  6. We lost the season last year as soon as we brought in Pierre Mcguire, pretty sure deslauriers is a free agent this year , him and Watson on the 4th would give us a solid presence against the tougher teams. While we're at it what is Chara doing bring him on for the 6th defenseman ,veteran presence has won the cup and will throw down if needed.

  7. How about Randy Cunneyworth? He’s a former sens captain with a huge coaching and player development resume. I always thought he got a real tough gig as the only English speaking head coach of the habs in like 40 years and never got a fair shake. Last I heard he was still languishing in the sabres organization.

  8. I’d love to see Joseph sign for 3 years, but I think he’s going to want to go the arbitration route, betting on himself to have a big season and get that juicy 4-5M AAV contract next summer. I think everyone is rooting for him to keep up that blistering pace he set last year. It really all depends who’s line he ends up on and that seems dependent on if we get Giroux and or another another top 6.

    Tkachuk Norris Joseph?
    Formenton Stutzle Joseph?
    Joseph Pinto Brown?
    Joseph kastelic Watson?

    Only time will tell….
I like all those combinations, his speed and grit might even make him a more versatile utility forward than nick Paul. Nick Paul does it all, but mathieu Joseph is more explosive💥

  9. From what I read and heard so far with Kasper’s reports he resonates more like a Patrick Horqvist.
