A lot of people THINK refs do not matter or those same people think the refs shouldn't make calls late in the game.Well the Panthers got the tie because of a PP so if the refs were in their typical put the whiistle away mode the Panthers would be out not the Bruins.I want penalties to be called at ALL times otherwise the games are decided by the teams who can cheat the best and that is a far greater crime on the game results than the refs being passive.
To me a ref that doesn't make calls is like seeing a MMA fight and one guy grabs the cage and ref just says "oh well I am not making the call".It only takes ONE little grab of the jersey or a bit of interference to stop the offensive team from getting to the net or a loose puck yeah those so called small penalties that are being ignored DO MATTER they decide hockey games.
