I think it’s the right move, but damn I’m gonna fucking miss Chris’s dance cam.
Too many baffling coaching decisions all year. As a player, it would be hard to play for a guy that seems to be actively trying to lose.

I’m gonna miss him. I was fortunate enough to serve him at a restaurant in Chinatown and I offered him a discount and he insisted to pay the full price and gave a big tip. Outside of hockey, he’s a sweet and polite guy.
Hopefully we can keep Sutter time going with Chris still!

Outcome pretty much never in doubt.
It was clear that aside from maybe Toffoli, nearly everyone else on the Flames roster would have requested a trade out of Calgary if Sutter wasn’t fired.
The Flames should have made the playoffs with the roster they iced this past season, and they should be better next season under a new management and coaching regime.
Expect to see the Flames bounce back next season, although their goaltending issues will probably also need to be addressed in the interim.
