I have to pause myself every time when I see the name Elias Pettersson (to see if it is EP40 or EP2)
When it comes to anything EP40 the Canucks are in the "beg and growel stage" where they better do anything and everything to convince him to stay or he is GONE very soon…..
Not every leader requires a C. The best player on the team doesn't have to have the C. The Captain just has to be someone everyone respects in the locker room, someone who is respected by the opposition and by the refs, and can be a mediator between the coaching stuff and the players. A Captain must either be able to lead by example and/or vocally.
If EP40 isn't that type of player, don't force him to be it. We all saw how much of a drag it was to Naslund during his final few seasons with the Canucks.
