Hello Fuzzy. I don't have time to look at your entire video (I'm at work). So if I mention something you cover later in your video, I apologize in advance. I am in particular going to write about the quiet glue guy that is Jorge Mateo.
Jorge Mateo is now that guy, meaning he was a top talent for years. The Orioles actually tried to trade Manny Machado to the Yankees in 2017. The deal fell through because the Orioles wanted Mateo back then, and the Yankees considered Mateo to be untouchable. I don't know why the Yanks traded Mateo to the Padres, but the Orioles must've still had their eye on him, and "stole" him from the Padres in 2021.
The word is now getting out how good Mateo is. He should've easily won Gold Glove at short last season, instead of not even being a finalist (inexcusable omission by whoever selects Gold Glove candidates). So far this season, Mateo is now doing extremely well at the plate as a bonus. He is also arguably the fastest man in MLB. It is a pleasure as an Orioles fan to be able to watch him plays D, and run the bases. The man can fly. He was slightly injured last week (groin) and still scored from 1st on a double that anyone else would have stopped at third. So compliments to you for noticing what many the experts in the media still can't see.
The Mateo trade was crazy but let's not act like Gray was phenomenal for the Yankees….everyone deemed it bad because he didn't help us he was bad like Montas when he came over. We lost in those trades but still you win some you lose some.
