I didn't think I could love Aly more than I did after watching this video :') What also went right this year: getting a great idea whos going to be captain next season! I know the fans aren't really sure yet, But I know Verbeek does and having a captain for this team is VERY important. In the most recent ducks newscast Brian Hayward mentioned that Eakins didn't put a lot of discipline into his squad, so combine that with no Captain and you can see why the season played out like it did. Pretty stoked for next season š
Two things in my opinion has kept the Ducks rebuild from moving forward. Dallas Eakins not being fired much earlier than last year and the unfortunate situation with Bob Murray stepping away due to alcoholism. Thankfully Martin Madden is still drafting well but I am not as closely paying as much as attention to the Ducks as I used to but still a fair amount I could see that the team was not trying hard and when I saw Zegras was having beef with Eakins it became more evident that something is wrong š. So moving forward Anaheim must get a good coach and move some prospects and draft picks for some key proven players in key roles and positions to balance the youth and round out the roster for being competitive. I also follow the Kings & Golden Knights because I have lived mostly in Los Angeles but was living in Orange š County during the expansion year of the Ducks and in Las Vegas during their expansion year. You can clearly see that where the Kings and Ducks where in the same place 3-4 years ago and now in a much different place makes being a Ducks fan very disappointing because they should be a lot further along in their rebuilding process but if they get one of these highly regarded prospects which I heard besides Bedard there are still 3 more really good prospects so as long as they keep their pick this year it should expedite their process quicker especially if they get Bedard. Imagine that with Zegras and Zellweger on the power play with Terry too in the future. Thanks for sharing your videos with us being so close to the ice and behind the scenes etc. Iām dying to get my hands on something with the Ducks & Angels on their really cool collaboration hats or jerseys but Iām in Southern Utah so itās not possibleš.
