Stephen A Smith was wrong with his words but John Salley is being dumb too. Shit going on in Kawhi’s personal life has nothing to do with basketball. Especially when his sister did it not him. And injuries happen. He’s trying to make other feel empathy the stress of a multi millionaire. I think Kawhi will be alright. If he couldn’t play another NBA game his whole family would be taken care of for generations. It sucks that he got hurt but I don’t see the reason why we should feel worse for him than any other player

Smith has a right to say what he wants and to tell how he feels. I agree with Smith. Leonard is a disappointment. Smith doesn't have to agree with this guy no more than this guy has to agree with Smith. Why not just tell us how you feel and not tell us how someone else should feel.

Thats not how it works. Organizations don’t pay players for their accomplishments they pay them for what they WILL do. Why should the clippers pay Kawhi for what he did in Toronto or San Antonio? The players would LIKE it to be like that but its not. And Kawhi is the most overpaid player for what he’s worth he can’t play half a season and still gets injured if he plays too hard for too long. Remember, John Salley is telling the fans what goes down from a business perspective in sports-entertainment and in being a professional athlete, how the owners, general managers, coaches, and even teammates view you and how this BUSINESS really works…so when Salley speaks, he's not trying to tell you HOW TO THINK like the sports-media is doing… he's literally telling you HOW IT WORKS when it comes to the status of a player economically in that sphere, in that business and WHY things are done HOW they are done…. The fans and audience sees the end results and reads the narratives but there's a REASON WHY — that's what Salley is doing, telling you the situations guys are in and them doing what's best for them, their business, and their families economically because that's really what this is about, money and moving forward in your life. The business of sports-entertainment can and will eat guys alive and the politics of it along with the business dictates the situation(s) of players, teams, and the direction the media points concerning a topic, market, and discussion… this is why you have foolish debate shows and comparing a guy that's 100% at the highest level (Jordan) to a guy that's 40% at the highest level (LeBron) and saying that the guy who is producing 40% is better than the guy producing 100%.
