There were 4 CB's taken in the 1st round of this draft and the Seahawks got the seemingly consensus best one.
Detroit ended up trading the 6th pick, and it's rumored that they wanted to pick Witherspoon but the Seahawks spoiled their plans.
And here you see the guy just left of middle saying he wanted Witherspoon for the Raiders at 7th.
Great move by the Seahawks to snag him first! Go Seahawks!

DL is your biggest need, you spend the 5th pick of the draft on a corner (one of your deepest position groups) when Jalen Carter is there who was the consesus #1 player in the draft talent-wise. Then you decided to go BPA again at 20 (maybe because Kancey was gone) but by doing so, you leave round one with N. Smith, M. Smith, Bresee and Murphy gone which is really tough
Witherspoon is like an earl Thomas. Seahawks loved him. Looking forward to watching him play

I thought Christian Gonzalez would be the pick if we went CB, so I admittedly didn’t watch the film on Witherspoon and I just about spit my drink out watching the first play. Culture is important to John and Pete and that was the biggest mystery before the draft. Not a mystery anymore
