  1. Since I always watch the game or the highlights, it might be nice to get less of a play by play, and instead some more analysis and interesting stats about the game

  2. This was so Yuge for Seattle. They showed a ton of focus to not fold after having a 2 goal lead after taking the Avalanche to 7 games. Game on!

  3. Was there no mention of Marchment’s continued cheap shots on Geekie after tripping him? And right in front of the refs, too.

  4. This has to be the most unpredictable playoffs of the last decade or two. Kraken couldn't score 4 against the Avs except for once when down 6-3 and then score 4 in the first? Then their next goal is the OT winner?!? What the hell lol

  5. If you're the Kraken, aside from winning, I think you have to be happy about your five different scorers rather than all your offense being one player.

  6. Dallas lost in overtime in game 1 against Minnesota and responded nicely in game 2. We'll see how they can respond in this series

  7. This is off subject Shannon, but I"ve got to get it off my chest. Did you watch the other game on ESPN ? I suffered through it. levi made it unwatchable. He has got to be the worst announcer around. he tries to be play-by-play, color and analyzer all in one, and does none well. Someone scores and he's rooting. When there's a close chance at one end, he attributes it to the wrong team and never corrects his misstatement. I hate his smugness and his ever–present attempts to state how much he thinks he knows. Geez, I hope ESPN puts someone else on the games they're going to cover. Otherwise it looks like I'll only be watching games on TBS or TNT. I hate that jb levi !

  8. Drunk Texan with a beer can covering the camera every time they were in scoring position during OT was annoying. Glad you called that out.

  9. The Stars' inability to win in overtime this season is really disturbing. Unacceptable loss after having a few days off, playing at home with everyone healthy. Grow up, guys.

  10. GREAT to see Pavelski come out strong after getting gooned by the Wild. How can his teammates even look him in the eye after that performance? They let him down.

  11. I can’t remember the last time a player scored all their teams goals in a playoff game that was 3 or more. I’m sure it was much more recently than I’m thinking, I just personally can’t remember the last time. Bad for Seattle because they let one player keep the entire team in the game, but also bad for Dallas because they had to rely on one player scoring all 4 goals to give them a chance and send it to OT

  12. Seeing what the Kraken did to the AVs in the 1st round, you'd think Dallas would have been a little bit more prepared for the Kraken buzzsaw.

  13. Hopefully being in the playoffs means Dallas will get enough money to afford cameras that can show the whole ice surface, not just the far half.

  14. Towards the end of the game, we were all joking that we just need to shoot the puck in the air with Pavs in the rough vicinity of the goal and it'd go it. Not only 4 goals, but 3 of those goals were high-skill deflections in the air. The stick in his hands is simply an extension of his arms at this point.

Kraken played their game, and it was the exact opposite of the style the Wild played and Dallas was not prepared. The coaching staff need to work with the players today and adjust. Dallas has a group of talented and smart players that can win this, but they have to make the necessary changes. Looking forward to games 2-5.

  15. Dallas was predictable with their defensive zone exits and slow to the puck everywhere else. They had opportunities to get some massive hits when Seattle was exiting. Dallas’ forecheck was shit.

  16. The fact we squeezed a win out of this despite an All-Star performance by Pavelskis, makes me feel pretty good about our chances in this series.

  17. As a Sabres fan, it's really nice to see all of these playoff teams adopt the same tactics as the Sabres when it comes to playing on home ice.

  18. Kraken fan here and grateful for the win, though Pavelski legitimately looked like a one-man army out there – crazy way to make a return. Thanks THG for mentioning beer can guy – it was driving me nuts as well and I'll (shamefully) admit I cheered just a little bit harder when Gourde scored in OT and that hand didn't come up again. 😅

  19. Yah well. Let's see how all those hits reward them in game 2. They are not going to be able to sustain that forecheck. Wait and see.
