David Krejci on If He Plans to Retire or Stay With Bruins | Exit Interviews

BOSTON, MA — Bruins Forward David Krejci talks with the media as the 2022-2023 season comes to a close.

“There’s lots to think about. I’m gonna go home soon, talk to my family but definitely gonna make a decision soon…I want to get away because everything is really raw right now. I don’t want to make any decision that I’m gonna regret.”

  1. Considering how he broke down. i hope he retires. The team needs a shake up. Their so called great culture doesn't work. They are all far too comfortable in that locker room. Priority one. Find a way to sign bertuzzi. They need more players that play with no fear like he does. And they need to get hampus lindholm and others a psychiatrist for ptsd. He played with his tail between his legs. He was afraid to do anything.

  2. he's done. no question. i retired in 2021 (obviously not from the nhl) & I can tell from the look on his face.

  3. "Lots to think about, run the numbers see if I've made enough to sustain this lavish lifestyle, I mean another 7-8 million wouldn't hurt"

  4. Defense was atrocious. Puck management unacceptable. Bertuzzi was their best player in series! And Montour had as many goals as Pasta! Insane

  5. Been a Bruin fan for DECADES.
Been a Krejci fan for a while too.
But it's time to give the young'uns a chance.
Thanks Krejci…one of the best BRUINS ever.

  6. For everyone saying retire.. you guys aren't boston fans or you just don't know hockey. Say thank you he took a cut to give us another chance.
I pray 🙏 you stay with us David.

  7. Please retire. And take Clifton,Gryzlk, Lindholm, Carlo, Foligno, Coyle, with you. All dead weight. Get your Canadian quotient back up to 75% minimum on the roster, the same formula you used in 2011 to win three game 7s and overcome a 2 game deficit to Habs going into Montreal. With only 6 Canadians on team compared to Florida having 14 Bruins never had a chance, nor did a 4 Canadian supposedly loaded Ranger team against 10Canadians on Devils.

  8. I was 15 when I watched them get the 2011 cup from a bar in Maine since we had no cable at our cottage. Such a vivid and great memory. Krejci has always been one of my favorite players. I'm sad that I've never gotten to see them in person, and really next season would be my only chance, but I wouldn't be upset if he retired. He has had a great career and been fun to watch. I would love to see him and Bergeron stick it out one more year just so I can see the play at the garden, but that's me being selfish.

  9. Krejci is such a great guy. He's a veteran player, but is still one of the best. Having him back would not hurt the B's salary cap. I think Bergi & Marchand should retire and free up a lot of Bruins' cap to make the much needed trades to improve the team. They need younger players with a better stamina.

  10. Time for Bergeron, Marchand and Krejci to retire. After a great regular season, they had nothing left for the playoffs. It is no coincidence that the Bruins were up 3 – 1 without Bergeron and Krejci.

  11. Enough is enough. They need to get younger, faster, and tougher. If Bergys back was bad, he shouldn't have played at all. He was a team worst -6 when he came back for the final 3 games that they lost.
