I love Backlund, but he’s not being robbed. The two nominees that posted similar stats defensively scored 30+ more points than he did. The other nominee is Bergeron, who scored the same amount but was also the 99th percentile in most defensive stats.
He probably deserves a few 3rd place votes, but if a Flame was robbed of the Selke recently, it was Lindholm last year.

Last season, he was a better defensive forward than Lindholm, who was second place in voting.
