HMMMMMMMMM
I feel like this is very telling… dude needed 10+ seconds to think of anything positive to say about GG. Kaapo also alluded to not being happy, I think Gallant has lost the room and will 100% be out
me when i lie
Hopefully the Penguins fire Mike Sullivan and we can nab him.
Dude looked like he had a thousand yard stare there for a second trying to figure something positive to say about him lol
*Very* convincing, Troubs… /s
Strip the C let the next coach deal with that
You’re more than welcome to join him in the unemployment line if he’s such a great guy. I’d prefer it, actually.
Trouba answered that like Gallant was standing in the doorway, arms folded, making eye contact with him
Trouba blink twice if youre being held hostage.
Exit interviews will be telling. GG lost the locker room. If you truly like the coach, you dont need 20 seconds to search for an answer. Took soo long for him to get out “enjoys playing for” and he was dead staring into space as he answered
Considering all the chatter about a potential coaching change, if the team hasn’t released a statement saying that Gallant is returning next year then he’s as good as gone
LOL. Man that pause probably felt like an eternity for Troubs. Dude is gone.
I think they like Gallant as a person but that they have fully realized or embraced the fact that he holds them back.
If he really enjoyed playing for him the words would have rolled off his tongue. Too much pausing in between looking for the right diplomatic words to say about him.
So it’s clear that Gallant is cooked and the players and us fans will get our way.
That said, no one outside of Igor has anything to be proud of after that series. It’s really up to them to step up next year because they’ll be out of excuses if there’s a new coach.
If you needed any idea of what the players think of Gallant, look back at Game 7 when he’s blasting the shit out of Trocheck on the bench (which was justified because Trocheck played like ass the entire series) and Trocheck turns around and laughs at him. I was watching the MSG coverage so not sure if ESPN showed it, but it was right there for everyone to see.
