No doubt he seems to be a lucky token for whatever org he works with. But other then his experience as a hockey player what qualifies him for hockey ops president? From what I can tell he’s mostly done broadcasting his post playing career. You would think running hockey ops for an org that brings in as much revenue as Philly does you would want someone with tons hockey related executive experience no? I like the previous names floated more tbh. And I still stand by that we need someone with prior GM experience as president if we’re running a young first time GM. Someone like Shero would be perfect if he wanted the job. Such a big part in what eventually became a juggernaut Devils team and someone who knows hockey business. And his dad used to coach the Flyers so it checks the Flyers connection box.

On the broad St hockey pod O’Connor was saying that hockey ops would not focus entirely on player personnel but more on cap issues.
I don’t know what edzo might be like in that role but at least it’s not yet another former player who needs a job
