  1. I'd take Marner, Matthews, Tavares, and Barkov before Matthews. Tavares gives you much of the same as Matthews but he's not a dirty player.

    Leafs, Devils, Stars, Oilers

  2. AJ still upset about that loss to Vegas. Oilers have 2 lines and 0 D that are even good at their jobs. Vegas has a wild top 4 and didnt even have their 2nd pair in the line up during game 5, they also roll the living hell out of 4 lines constantly. Beat up on edmonton's 2 lines and what do they have? A bunch of overpaid bums on the bottom 6 and an overpaid D core that are liabilities. Vegas in 5 sending Mcdavid to once again consider leaving edmonton because their team is still a hot dumpster fire.

  3. Stuart Skinner can have a tough game and totally bounce back the next. He gave up some very unfortunate goals in round 1 and had that stick break moment, which was unfortunate – but he came up with some very good saves after. He is a rookie goaltender with a very good mindset. I believe in him – especially when it comes to handling tough situations.

  4. Apparently Dallas’ secret weapon is a 38 year old playing with a concussion. How does that play out in the world of hockey punditry?

  5. My question for Toronto in round 2 is: what motivation do they have anymore? And I'm being serious. That city erupted when they won A SINGLE ROUND. For years now it's been beat into their heads, "we just need to win a round. We just need to get out of round 1." The goal of the Maple Leafs for years has been "win a round" not "win the cup." They did that now so how do they keep going? I honestly think the Panthers win this series despite awful goaltending and it wouldn't surprise me if it was a quick series either. I'm tempted to take Panthers in 5, but I'll say Panthers in 6 just because Toronto is an overall better team for sure.
