Wow! Looking back you knew Sam was a great golfer but, realistically, who'd have thought he would be contending for that Green Jacket on Sunday? Jack, Crenshaw, Tiger, Phil, Sergio, Hideki, Cantlay, Bryson & MANY more…. lots of historical names on that list and Sam was top 3 finishes for an Amateur over the past 60 years. I had to come back and watch this again after the two day start Sam had at the 2023 Master’s. He fell off the pace with the completion of 2 rounds on Sunday due to weekend weather but his finish was one of the top ever for an amateur. His finish netted him around $300,000.00 and it will go a long way for a college young man.
