The season reviews continue on Tuesday with Jason Zucker. He’s the last player in the top six who hasn’t gotten one so Hunter had to save the best for last. He looks at how this was his best season in quite some time, especially counting stats-wise. He marvels at how 25 of Zucker’s 27 goals came at 5v5, which is no small feat. Only two came on the power play! He discusses how great of a fit he was on Evgeni Malkin’s line and why he was always there when the team needed him most. He then looks at Zucker’s underlyings and how they matched the eye test in a big way. Finally, Hunter gives his opinion on what a contract for Zucker should look like and what the Penguins should set in terms of a boundary. After that, he goes more in-depth on the re-signing of Alex Nylander and why he’s going to be given every shot imaginable to make the team next season. He then discusses a couple of players in WBS making the move overseas before finishing the show with a thought on Monday night’s Game 7 and why the Penguins could be in line to make a move on the Rangers next season if they make some major changes.

Lindgren, probably, took Blomqvist's signing as a sign that he wouldn't be getting much playing time, next year. Especially, after the Pens signed Louis Domingue and, then Dustin Tokarski, to play ahead of him, in the last two years.
Timo Meier would be a good option if Zucker walks. He is a UFA and the Devils have him and Jesper Bratt, who is probably going to get a hefty payday, as free agents. Meier I think is a UFA and Bratt is an RFA.
Even though Meier didn't have a goal in the series against the Rangers, how he got in Shesterkin's kitchen, is something The Penguins need more of. He is only 26. Whomever the new GM is, I would go after him in a heartbeat.
I read some of the comments from Ranger fans, they want to trade Artemi Panarin lol good luck with that. No team is taking that contract and he still has 3 years at $11 million a year, no team is touching that contract. They are stuck with him.
Zucker $5×5 ,last 3 years with out a no movement clause. Rangers are over rated and the devils put them in their place by playing god hockey. Penguins did it last year in the playoffs against the dirt rags as well and would have won that series with any kind of goaltending. Penguins need to look at teams like the devils and carolina as the level they need to reach for next season.
