  1. The kicker for me is when Nylander drives to the panther offensive zone spins the FL panther player can't keep up and slips putting Nylander all by himself and only has Bob to beat and what does he do?
he casually skates the puck the wrong way giving FL all the time in the world to come back and get set.

  2. The Leafs finally played a healthy and fast team. Even against Tampa they were outplayed in 4 of the 6 games. Panthers win this series

  3. Leafs have not to make careless mistakes.. they have to play every game like game 6 against tampa

  4. I used to hate all the corny hockey cliches like ‘winning the battles in the corners’ and ‘winning the battles along the boards’ etc etc. BUT!…it’s so true and these battles were clearly won by Florida and…..god help the Leafs. Panthers in 5.🇺🇸

  5. Once Florida finished off the Bruins and Leafs "thinking" they already won what they had to! The Panthers are in my mind the team to beat, So Panthers in 6 and my pick for the Cup. Leafs have to go 20 plus years a round so I am thinking Leafs in 2093 or so.

  6. Sadly, after a 50 plus year rebuild, the Leafs still appear not to have what it takes to go all the way.✔️

  7. It's time to bring in ———> Wayne Simmonds .. he needs to be playing in this series. BEST WAY to control Tkachuk is to keep the puck in the O zone for most of the game. Tkachuk can't do much if he is always playing in his D zone.

  8. The Panthers having to scratch and claw just to make the playoffs is why the team is so good, they've continued with a hungry, aggressive style, making it difficult for opposition to get set up, their firing on all cylinders, watch out leafs, they earned that bruins series, now their buzzing.

  9. Don't forget that the other Florida team, the lightning get all the attention, this Florida team wants to make waves, and they have been a nightmare the last 4 games, the leafs need to nip this in the bud quickly or this other Florida team is rolling.

  10. It's the first game. Offensively, the Leafs will adapt and learn, as they did after Game 1 vs. Tampa. They had two good powerplays in the first where they almost scored. Florida is just a penalty magnet; they were that way long before this series. After a few tapes, and some hard training, the Leafs will solve Bobrovsky. I'm more worried about them being unable to stop making defensive mistakes.

  11. For Leafs & their fans – just finally winning a series was an emotional outburst. That might possibly explain the energy imbalance in Game 1. To me – it looked like Leaf D – men were having trouble keeping up with Florida. These non elimination games might show some interesting patterns – before the more intense Elimination Games come – which are just fun to watch.

  12. The Panthers were the better team 5 on 5 vs Boston. Have been playing do or die playoff hockey for more then a few months.

    Their forecheck is tenacious.

Everyone keeps point to the Bruins and Leafs mistakes, but not giving the credit to the Panthers for causing those mistakes. Their pressure game is off the charts.

They have a whole club who battled through major adversity to just make the playoffs. They are hardened and have a strong connection to one another. This should scare teams. They are cohesive, have one belief, family and play as a compete team.
