    2022 Avalanche picked up Manson, Cogliano, Lehkonen, and Strum within 2 weeks of the trade deadline. All 4 were needed for the cup run and have their names on the cup now, and the first 3 were then signed to additional contracts. It can work, but I feel it's much better to pick up some depth pieces for 2nd and 3rd round picks rather than give up 1sts for a star.

    I don’t even really want a rivalry with Vancouver – lots of folks were Canucks fans before we had a team. Can’t we just hate Vegas together?
