Some bad bounces, sloppy play style, penalties and overall just a weak performance.yall need to practice and get down quick passes and shot accuracy also you should stick to one timers and deflection goals in the next couple games as well as working on you power play and defensive strategy I believe you'll get somewhere Let's Go Devils you can beat Carolina you have the guys to do it.
I'm not one for making excuses but the scheduling is horrible one day off for the Devils after a 7 game series what's the problem NHL one extra day was to much to allow… wasn't as if the Devils didn't earn it or deserve it…
The Carolina Hurricanes style is unique. They attack like wild animals at all times. Even when they are short handed. You have NO TIME to think, breathe or move the puck. They are relentless. It cannot be combated OR defended against. The Canes have also figured out the Devils "star rookie goalie". This will not be like the Rangers series. There is NO WAY to combat, counter or defend the Hurricanes style. Keep in mind that 3 of the Canes best players are injured, now imagine how much worse this could have been. The Canes are a machine, period. This could easily be a sweep.
I think there was some Nerves in this game, it took them almost a period and a half to decide to stop fiddling with the puck and actually put on some shots and offensive pressure. They'll adjust, what these devs do
WTF and WHY did you put Boqvist back in: he sucks! Lazar should have been in and don't put SHAR in a position he DOESN'T play! We won many games without Timo so go back to what worked before he arrived! Bratt and Jack : they have had a perfect chemistry and add Palat. Nico, Tatar ( the big tuna) and Mercer. Y. Shar and Lazar with Haula. Big Nate with his ice hockey soulmate: McCloud. Balance out your SPEED that's all you NEED. You have 4 lines of speed and that will kill any D so DON'T fall in a trap in your O zone. Goalie Golden Rules 101: #1: NEVER leave the blue seam #2: STOP and prevent all REBOUNDS #3: Play the pipes TIGHT and everything will work out RIGHT.

Luke can be a dagger to the Canes. He adds a dynamic they wouldn't be ready for. Give him nod and watch his magic.
