I couldn’t believe when they picked KK over Tkachuk. I was screaming at my tv. I did the same thing when they picked Slafkovsky last season over Wright but I think the latter may be the right decision in the long run. Time will tell.
At least Molson finally made the right move and got rid of Bergeron and now we have a much better management and a forward thinking coach in place and also have a chance to get a top player from this year’s amateur draft not to mention all the young promising prospects we have. Maybe if the Canadiens picked Tkachuk they still would have had the same management and would have continued to finish on the bubble every year not getting anywhere.

Tkachuk is one of those guys you hate to play against but love to have them on your team! He’s a gem! Looking like a steal for Florida!

Brady would of brought that physical power forward talent we are missing , sure we have Anderson but there’s no comparaison between the 2 . MB and his team really F-Up on that KK selection .
They did the same shit with Ryan Poelhing over Oettinger , i was yelling at the screen when they didnt picked him and if we really want to be sour … remember the Louis Leblanc pick in the first round ? Loouuuuis who you might say ? … lol
Montreal made that blunder because back in 2018, they needed a centerman badly so they drafted KK who was the best centerman available in the 2018 draft but it was a very poor year for centermen. He should have been at best a mid first round pick. They got him third overall and Brady Tkachuck came out fourth. There are rumours that Montreal might be thinking about drafting David Reinbacher with their 5th pick since they need badly a right defenseman because they only have Barron and Mailloux as good right defenseman prospects. Reinbacher is the best right defenseman available in 2023 but it is a very bad year since there are no elite defensemen available at all; and Reinbacher's NHL ceiling might be top 3 defenseman at best. If Montreal takes Reinbacher at 5th because of needs, they will be making exactly the same mistake all over again that they made in 2018 with KK…Reinbacher is a mid first round pick at best. Like they say, it only takes one team to like you…and Montreal likes him !!!

In my opinion, the chemistry between Tkachuk & Barkov is on par if not better than between Tkachuk & Johnny Gaudreault.
