Depth not performing, our 2nd line giving us nothing and turnovers. That’s what cost us. This offseason I’m sure they are going to go super hard in trades and bring us that needed depth with us more than likely having the extra 7 mil to spend from landy. ERod played himself back into coming back imo. He was very good and I feel like if he’s on a 3rd line where he belongs he’ll dominate for us

  2. What astonishing insight! Thank you “thehockeywriters” for cluing us in that hot goaltending, no depth and injuries contributed the first round exit.

They literally scored first every game. Playing catch up everytime is a recipe for disaster.

    1. We didn’t win 4 games first.

    2. In 4 games, we did not score more than the Kracken

    3. Injuries

    Being a journalist in 2023 seems… easy…

Did anybody notice that there were a bunch of top notch players injured?

  7. In the last 3-4 years (last year notwithstanding, since, you know, The Cup) I think the Avs have underperformed. They don’t, and haven’t played as a team, unless you count that stupid drop pass PP breakout. Their “play” seems to more often than not be cycle the puck and hope to find someone open to take a shot.

I think us Avs fans are in for a rough ride as next year 4 players are going to account for 45% of the salary cap.
