I've been to watch playoff Bob in past man…he can win you a series. Thats the past though. The guy is so good laterally. He has amazing reflexes…over reactive. I would like to see the Leafs skate in fake a shot get him moving and fire it 5 hole. Easier said then done though. Not alot of time and space out there. MLSE needs to do a better job at the fan experience I think . I want to see a sea of blue ..not white rally towels in white which take on road team. Psychology of sport is very very important. Leafs will win both games in Florida. Lets go!

If there's a team that makes it more of a chore to be a fan of, I don't know what team that would be. The Leafs, in what ought to have been, pretty much a must win game, managed to piss away another opportunity. Poor D-zone coverage on Florida's 1st goal. How Giordano lets Lundell skate in untouched towards the Leaf goal on that play, I just don't understand. On goal # 2 for Florida, McCabe gets the puck out & Nylander, just outside his own blue line, gets his pocket picked by Duclair. 10 feet away, O'Reilly is text-book tripped by Barkov (stick in his feet, no call). Barkov who should've been penalized, then is the 3rd forward entering the zone, gets the puck, shoots & the puck deflects off Brodie's leg, dipping about a 1/2 foot, eluding Samsomov. The go ahead goal, follows more D-zone chaos. McCabe makes a smart outlet pass to Marner who, while STILL IN THE D-zone, makes a drop pass to Matthews. Matthews, tries a risky soft flip pass out of the zone, that gets easily knocked down. More f*cked-up D-zone coverage, with Forsling getting a clean look to score. Matthews, now a veteran, just can't do stupid shit like that. That high risk flip led directly to the game winning goal, coupled with his & Bunting's poorly executed D-zone coverage after his turnover. Just a stupid decision at the worst time.
Now having pissed away their 2-0 lead, the Leafs then wake up & take it to Florida for pretty much the rest of the game, but can't score again + 3 goal posts & a crossbar. In both games they have basically given Florida every goal they've got. Why they continue to be so careless in, or near their D-zone drives me f*cking nuts. In the 2nd round of the post-season, after surrendering the 1st goal in a 1st period that you dominated, you CANNOT make careless or risky plays in, or near your own zone, especially when Florida just tied the game seconds before. Interesting that the refs seemed to stop calling penalties. Florida sensed it & played accordingly. Maybe it's time to insert Simmonds & Clifford to do some policing because it appears the refs put the whistles away after Florida's 3rd goal. Bob was very good & very lucky….again. You can see how Florida managed to get past Boston. Bennett & Tkachuk are dirty f*cks, pure & simple.

The inconsistencies in the calling of intent to injure penalties and suspensions is extremely troubling.

Sheldon Keefe, "baffling" is a Jose Mourinho type of comment. Deflect responsibility from yourself to anyone who did wrong. Yes, I get it, this cost the game. But you never deflect or play stupid. Unless you have something up your sleeve for games 3 and 4 to turn this around, be ready to seek new work. As an athlete who has played sports at a high level, the right thing to say here is "They made plays at key moments and we have to clean it up. I hate losing so much that I will light a fire under these guys pants to get the result we need." I can accept defeat but I cannot accept a pacifist coach shrugging his shoulders. If you want to win this series, you have to do 3 things differently. 1, make the Florida goalie uncomfortable. 2, push those Panthers back with physical effort and do it for the entire game. 3, Become ugly bullies and get Florida off their game. No more finesse Leaf hockey because it isn't working all post season. Want to win the Cup, you have to smash your opponents to get it. Sorry, but the truth has to be told here. And tell your stars such as Marner, Matthews, Tavares, and especially Nylander that if they don't routinely put the puck into the net in Florida, they can walk home. Show some Michael Jordan style passion for this game. Winning is the only cure.

It's really difficult to win when your captain is an absolute dipstick who plans to have a newborn during the playoffs, makes 16, 34 and 35 do all the work for months on end and only shows up when he feels like it.
