Jakob Chychrun will be making his home debut tonight in Ottawa as the Senators face off against the Blue Jackets. The newly acquired defenceman says it’s been an easy transition for him and he’s excited for a new beginning with a team that has the opportunity to build something special.

His grandfather lives there so it’s amazing for him and his family! Amazing fit for him and the team.
You Sens fans have got yourself a very good player. 👏🏻👍🏻
With the addition of Chychrun, let us know if you think the Senators will make the playoffs this year.

It's going to take time to learn systems and build chemistry, but I'm sure he'll be a great fit for the team!
Cool to see him able to see a bunch of his family on a regular basis now, he must be so happy.
Fantastic player
I see a very bright future for the sens I really like the group they have
I'm gonna miss you Chych, but I'll still be rooting for you! AZ loves you, thanks for everything!
I hope you find success in Ottawa, let's go Sens! – A Coyotes fan
These guys are the playoffs dark horse.
2:43 I'm sorry but did they already give him a nickname? Pretty sure I heard Chychy, anyone else? 😂
Just got his first point with the senators awesome player
Love to see when a big name like this really wants to be here, very impressed with his play so far. GO SENS!
It must be fun to be a sens fan rn, this is the best young team in the league
hmmmm what other teams was DJ Referring to?
Their home jerseys are the nicest in the league.
I'll admit I wasn't sure of the fit before the trade but was I ever wrong. Chychrun is an absolute beast on the ice and adds yet another high end element to an already electric young group.
Watching Chychrun the first two games… I underestimated how good he is. He's a force defensively, blocks lanes and is always in the right position. This kid will take the Ottawa Senators to another level. Add in JBD/Thomson and Kleven… this team is going to be scary good in short order. Very well could upset the Bruins first round if they can make the show. They're going to have some decisions to make on the backend next year. Hammer has elevated his game and I hope he's back next year even if it's in a 6-7 position.
I think Ottawa became my second favorite team, behind Edmonton of course
