  1. Gallant needs to go he’s got literally no system this team clearly needs a coach to run the ship gallant just let’s the team run itself and it doesn’t work obviously gallants system is go make plays we need Xs & Os coach who isn’t afraid to discipline the players and isn’t afraid to bench Panarin in when he’s playing like the little bitch that he is

  2. Yeah! We don't have any detail about this conversation between Drury and Gallant but if the players were aware of that (+ Gallant calling them out, rightly so, after that game 4) they obviously did not respond well the rest of the series.
One thing is sure they did not really show up in games 4, 5 and 7 and they blew a 2-0 lead after being awesome in the first 2 games.
I am sorry but something happened for this team to collapse this way after game 2.
All things considered I don't think the Devils won the series. The Rangers lost it.
There is a big difference and it's up to Drury to figure out why that was.

  3. The reason WHY the Rangers lost terribly in most if these games, and especially Game 7 — is that there was A) NO HEART. B) NO WILL. C) NO BALLS. D) NO PASSION. E) NO DESIRE. — Now, if you ANYONE throughout the dawn of mankind, OR anyone in this comment section thinks that Coach Gallant is responsible for Most of these Rangers professional NHL players playing Sissy, Anti-Manly, Pink-Bra-Tutu-Wearing Hockey with no Heart, Will, Balls, Passion, & Desire….. then please explain to me how this can be possible using a)common-sense, b)logical reasoning, & c)natural law?…….. Because if any 1-Man, Coach or otherwise has to power to steal your HEART, WILL, BALLS, PASSION, or DESIRE's — then you probably don't even deserve to exist as a Human, let alone a Professional Hockey Player. But since Gallant seems to be getting a lot of this blame, then please explain!??!…

  4. The clear failure here is with Gallant. No coach should point the blame without first blaming himself and the coaching staff. PERIOD. Drury is to blame for the players he selected, but Gallant did NOTHING to get them to play or to strategize how to beat the devils. I totally disagreee with this being Drurys issue. No it is all on Gallant. You are way off.

  5. I just want to thank you for this podcast I must agree give GG one more year but that’s it an Drury has to be creative with this team

  6. The only way the Rangers win a cup in the next 5 years is if they get Mike Keenan to start coaching again or they get Mark Messier to start coaching. This team needs leadership, fire, passion and heart. They lack all of these attributes. They play like they interview. With no emotion, passion or fire in their eyes. You can put a C on any players chest but if the players don’t believe in them it won’t work. The Rangers don’t need a Captain, the need a leader!

  7. Lmao rangers fans are just a little bit delusional sometimes…firing a coach after losing a series in game 7 to a team that was favored with home ice and better than them in the regular season…and basically swept them h2h. Pretty sure you guys just got the worst possible matchup for the playoffs and probably make the second round playing any other team

  8. The Rangers had a lot of skilled players who did not gel as a team when they needed teamwork the most. They kept changing line combinations, but nothing really worked. Powerplay died at the worst time. Kane did not deliver, yet it seemed he set the tone & pace and other players were waiting for him to take them to the Promised Land. Panarin neutralized in a fast paced game where even his great passing is ineffective. Rangers had more than a month to mix and match and find chemistry. The Devils were relentless and kept coming as a team in waves.

I think the Hurricane match up much better against them than we did, but we will see.

  9. We were out coached. The players knew the game plan was shit. They played like shit.

People wanna say Gallant did good in the regular season, whoopidee do. We lose to shit teams and beat good teams. Only too disappear in the playoffs.

If we lost games 5-3. 4-3. Even 6-5. Acceptable. We were supposed to be an offensive powerhouse. They were trash.

  10. Unfortunately I was at game 4. I’m not an expert but it looked like the effort wasn’t there. My first playoff game. Very disappointing.

  11. Gallant is a great coach and the end result is not his problem. This team has not played a 60 minute game all season and that is on the players.
Drury is the one that assembled this team with too much soft pretty passing finesse players. There is no muscle and no grind on this team. 2 years ago we were the envy of the league with a promising furure. Two seasons and many draft picks traded to "Win Now" later and we are the joke of the league. The only team right now that is softening the laughter towards the rangers is the Boston Bruins.
Drury has to go and Dolan needs to keep his dumb ass out of the decision making process and just stay away alltogether.

  12. Not for nothing but I remember countless times when Drury was a player (and Captain) and the Rangers just either flat out quit in a game or looked lost and pathetic. Everyone was always talking about him being a great leader and I almost never saw him doing it on the ice with a big goal or an enthusiastic, active shift or big hit. He'd just kind of skate around with his head in the clouds. (That's not to doubt his abilities as a GM, just the hypocrisy of him being surprised by this behavior in the Rangers.)
This whole nonsense of constantly wanting to fire the coach is so tiresome. It's always "Everything would be great if we just had this guy as coach". Then they get him and it's "That guy sucks. If only we had coach B on our team."
