  1. He traded the mobility on the blueline for the size and toughness of jeff petry equating to big and slow. Trading Marino and Matheson for petry was unequivocally one of the worst decisions ron hextall ever made. Hextall will never be considered a candidate for a hockey operations executive ever again after destroying a team with lots of young talent plenty of speed and skill. Only an incompetent person could of squandered that talent and turned it into old expensive non productive veteran's that are slow.

  2. Considering the lack of opportunity young players have gotten under Sullivan, do agents pick up on that sort of thing? It'd be negligent of the agent to not look into that sort of thing, right?

For instance, San Jose just signed 22 year old, 6'6", late-blooming Liiga defenseman, Valterri Pulli the other day. I know several teams were after the guy. But even if the Penguins had a GM employed, and pursued him, is there a chance an agent would say something like, "Jusso Riikola signed in Pittsburgh, and didn't even see a full season's worth of games in four seasons. You don't want to sign there."

  3. Sounds like you’re now saying Sullivan is part of the problem. Yet you’ve staunchly defended that he should stay and not be let go.

None of these teams have Stanley Cup level goaltending. Maybe the Stars when the goalie is on a streak.

  4. Hate having my intellect insulted this early in the morning so I had to turn this off half way through. So one could "safely" assume the Penguins, if it wasn't for Hextall, coulda shoulda won the the Stanley Cup this season? That was the bizarre, almost psychotic point you were getting to in a roundabout way? What a delusional pile of revisionist 💩! I expect to hear stuff like this from fanboi youtubers who refer to all their fanboi favorite hockey players in nickname only, but I guess there's really no difference here, is there? Only one question, were you wearing your Malkin jersey when you hit record?

  5. We don’t have playoff caliber goaltender to begin with. We wouldn’t stand a chance against Carolina, NJ or the Panthers

  6. The Penguins have been physically weak and brittle for a long time. They've also never learned to just shoot the puck at the net rather than stand around and wait for the perfect lane or opportunity. Now their speed is gone and their solid goaltenders are gone… so what's left? Crosby and Malkin can't win against 5 opposing players.
