I know as a player you’re supposed to say things like this when you lose. You’re supposed to say this and it’s always “I” when you lose and “We” when you win. Mind you he was 9th in GAA with a 2.48 10 in SV% with a .916 and 3rd in wins with 37. Anyone who thinks this is a “Down year” just shows his dominance and he really is the best Goaltender in the league. Playoff my man had a 1.96 GAA .932 SV% and lost in the first round. Disgusting. He deserves nothing but praise from this fanbase
Like I said, I know you’re supposed to say the things he said, but I’d be totally fine if he threw everyone under the bus. I wouldn’t even complain. They deserve it and they owe him a public apology. We’re so spoiled with Goaltenders, we can’t take him for granted. If we’re getting ANOTHER Igor next year, good lord we’re in for a treat with him.

He was never the reason they lost any games against the devils. I just hope this doesn’t become a regular occurrence where they look great all year and leave Igor out to dry when it matters most. He was the most consistent player in all 7 games that series.
Especially compared to some of the vets. I didn’t watch everything from breakup day but like from what I saw I was pretty annoyed that most of the top 6 was like “I’m sad it’s over so soon/we were the better team” while Shesterkin who didn’t do anything wrong was taking accountability, or the younger players like Laf took more accountability
I’m sure Hank would have filled him in.

He better get used to it. With this SOFT ASS team , we aren’t doing shit for years to come. Bunch of pretty boys. Playoff atmosphere too much to handle. Very big scary place for little Panarin, Fox, Miller, Laf ect…

I always got a good laugh out of the dumb dumb Devils fans singing, “Igor” as if they were getting in his head and throwing him off his game. Dude put up excellent numbers and at no point did we lose any games because of him. He was so solid in net.
