  1. I cannot state this enough the Red Wings did not get screwed in the 2020 lottery. They have the same odds that Colerado had last year. Just because they floated an idea for the draft that would of screwed a bunch of other teams doesn't mean we got screwed. The stat quo should not be interpreted as getting screwed.

  2. Your voice sound off .Vancouver got screwed more then The red wings lol On the draft lottery I'm meaning ..

  3. It'll be interesting to see how Yzerman drafts this year. There were a lot of off the board picks last year, including Seider, but hey, that has worked out so far. Some of the other picks were…questionable. That said, Yzerman didn't have full control over last year's draft as he had just become the GM and mostly just trusted the scouting team at the time. He has since replaced Tyler Wright, the head amateur scout, promoting Draper to the director of amateur scouting, and two other main scouts are gone to Edmonton along with Holland. The draft table will look much different this year, and hopefully, the Wings are able to knock this one out of the park.

  4. Ottawa doesn’t deserve number 1 picks they have sucked since they came back in the league. All the firsts they have had they should have just found a great player by mistake

  5. LW Lukas Reichel would fit the model Yzerman has been scouting in the DEL for 2 years.
RW Jan Myšák sometimes reminds me of Tatar on the up tempo forecheck 25 points in 22 game with Hamilton.
LHD Jérémie Poirier offensive skill pretty much match what Detroit looks for every draft. offensive defenseman. 53 points in the Q
Doubt Gunler will be there at the start of the second round.

  6. Many many thanks for a video on the second round. This is the round where, IMHO you can really hit a homer. So, our first pick at 32 is basically a late 1st round talent. I'm working on the premise that we draft Tim Steutzle at 3 so I'm expecting the team to take at least 1 defender in the second round. Thus your highlighting of Niemela is telling. If he's still there then I fully expect him to be drafted unless he's a right hand shot – we're well stocked for them for a change! I say no to Nybeck due to his size. I like the idea of Bordeleau or both the German kids if they're available. Carter Savoie…..now what a throw of the dice he represents. Personally if he's still there at the start of the 3rd round (I don't think we've traded that pick) which would be 63, then I'd absolutely roll the dice on him but I think he's going to be picked in the first round, someone who doesn't mind his AA like defensive issues will steal in there and snap him up. What we do know is that NHL scouting is incomplete this season. Yzerman has described this draft as a "crap shoot" thus he's going to be relying heavily on the advice of his scouts. I'm expecting some Hakan Andersson magic!!

  7. I was nervous and anxious for awhile hoping for that top pick, but not anymore. Either way we're going to get an exciting to watch player. Excitement is something we need haha.

Also I was thinking maybe there's a decent goalie prospect to be had in the second round.

  8. I noticed you didn't mention our early 3rd round picks (63 and 65). Those two are essentially 2nd rounders. Also wouldn't mind if Yzerman took Stranges with a 3rd / 4th round pick

  9. Round 2 to me really depends on the draft lottery (roller coaster of emotions, Obviously would love LW Lafrenière, would be happy with C Byfield or Stützle, and finally somewhat disappointed with F Raymond).

32 – C Jean-Luc Foudy, RW John-Jason Peterka or if LHD Jérémie Poirier fell.

54 – LHD William Wallinder or LW Lukas Reichel

58 – G Nico Daws or LW Luke Tuch

63 – LW Carter Savoie (he is also teammates with 2019 Red Wings draft pick Carter Gylander)

  10. they have better odds than Ottawa, just because they could fall to 4th overall doesn't make them not have the best odds thats not how the lottery works also you butchered Boweys name

  11. they also have picks 63 and 65 (nyquist trade) so they are sitting almost as pretty as Ottawa

  12. I really hope that the sharks take someone like Jean-luc Foudy with there late first they got in the Barclay goodrow trade

  13. You need to do a video on the upcoming NHL lottery. Everybody says Detroit tanked to get a hi pick in the draft. Let's say the first draft actually has a couple spots that need to be decided in the so called second part to the lottery. Now you could have teams that are at the bottom of the qualifier teams tanking to get a top 3 draft pic. Your odds will increase dramatically

  14. if our pick falls to 4, it’s not the end of the world, yzerman drafted people like kucherov and point in the 2nd and 3rd round so i’m not worried

  15. Lukas Reichel is such a stud, he's a kid I would love to see Colorado take at the end of the 1st. Leave him in Berlin for a year I think he'll develop skill wise better playing top 6 against men there, then bring him to the AHL for a year to adapt the North American game. Then start to split him so he can see the NHL game a bit.

Imagine this kid + 20lbs of muscle. He already plays hard and has a taller frame. Let him fill out and he'll be a monster. He's super smart with his stick play, and shot selection. So adding muscle and strength to his game would be great.
