I want they take Mitchkov! Because he won't be available for a couple of years, the habs won't have the chance to wreck his development, like they do to every quality rookie that joins the team.

He has a 5 years contrat with the KHL, 3 years left. So he can't come to the NHL before the 26-27 season. Personnally, I would not draft any russians right now unless it's a 6th or 7th round pick. Too many unknowns with those players.

You basically read my mind, indeed after watching the U-18 world tournament, it seems that Dvorsky could land in Montreal since he has really shown that he is a complete two way centerman with offensive upside; and he is still 17 years old. However, if Montreal drafts for "needs", they will go for David Reinbacher who is the highest rated right handed defenseman. This draft is a very bad one for defensemen so this is why Reinbacher's stock keep getting better since he is the best one available; however, in a normal draft, this guy would be a mid first round pick at best. If Montreal goes for the best player available like they should, they would certainly draft a forward like Dvorsky or Leonard, but if they go for needs, then it will be Reinbacher for sure which will be a blunder with a 5th overall pick in a very good draft for forwards. It does remind me of 2018 when Montreal went for needs and drafted KK at 3rd; but the BPA was Brady Tkachuk at 4th…we will see!!!

don't know what the Vegas odds are, but I would say there is a 50/50 chance of him being a lottery pick. Lousy teams don't have the luxury of taking geopolitical risk.

Dvorsky seemed always come out with the puck in any battles. That's a good quality to have.
