Last time I posted you savages ripped me apart and I had a couple people say my post was against the rules. After a re-read of said rules. I think I’m doing it right this time!
With a locker room full of leaders, the Sabres possess an interesting case. Who should the Captain be in the 2023-2024 season? We have a lot of good candidates. I know Adams will make the right decision on who gets the C and who gets the A. If Okposo stays he remains captain. If he doesn’t I think Dahlin is the heir apparent.

Okposo if he stays. I know he wants to, but I suspect the body may just not be willing.
If not…Dahlin or Tuch. Dahlin is certainly deserving but with the level of pure skill he possesses, I’d almost rather him not be burdened by the expectations around the C. Maybe an A? No bad choice between the two for a C and A, shared C, whatever. Every case for either is a good one.
I love tuch and he adds so much energy, but I think that doesn’t work super well as a leader role, just a supporting A. Dahlin is the clear leader if Okposo steps away
Bottom line is the fans don’t know how every player is in the room, at practice, on the bench, etc. That being said, Tuch seems fun and he’s good but I think if he was from Grand Rapids and grew up a Red Wings fan, fans wouldn’t be so quick to assume he’ll be the next captain.
I think it’s Dahlin from everything I’ve read.
Whomever the players want is who it should be.
Okie remains captain when he signs back but when he’s gone it’s Tuch’s job next. Wouldn’t mind co-captains Dahls and Tuch though.
Tuch is the fan fav for captain but it’s very clearly going to be dahlin
