Look one player is not going to score every game, or even once every two games. It's a team effort and the Leafs as a team need to overcome this slump together. I think moving forwards solving bob is the only way to reassert over the Panthers and that's where the team should be focused on.

Leafs are getting dominated physically. Guys like Tkachuk, Bennett, Gudas are just punishing them on the forecheck and in the defensive zone. The Leafs have had no answer.
Samsonov is clearly hurt. I've seen him favour his upper body and lower body during these playoffs, especially after this last game. They seriously need to consider a goalie change.

He only gets 5 excellent opportunities a game. Theres nothing more he should be expected to do.

The core aren't good in playoffs,they're no built for that,it won't change,fantasy plays,softness,turnovers,they're good when it's open with none physical hockey,they added robustness with Schenn,Acciari and McCabe who have done the work at this level but the result is the same,the problem is the core

Auston is not built for the playoffs bro – just can't elevate the intensity. His talent has carried him so far in his career, not bulldog intensity like Tkachuk.
I feel like matthews is way too hyped up, like ive heard other nhl people say before, hes got the size to hit but never does and hes not an all around player that can contribute when hes not scoring.

The Leafs have NO GRIT. When things get tough, the Leafs get going, to play golf. Leafs need a top defenseman and a top goalie, the same things they've been missing for years, due to the incompetence of Dubas. Nylander should be traded to get a d-man. If Dubas gets a contract extension for getting through the first round, we'll have years more of this shite. When the Leafs get down, they must disrupt things, rough the other team up, fall on the goalie the way TB and FP have done to Samsonov.
