In this video I talk about the insane upset series win by the Florida Panthers in round 1 over the Boston Bruins. The Bruins had a historically good and record breaking season with 65 wins in the regular season. But, after going up 3-1 in the series they blew quite a few leads and would end up losing in game 7 last night in overtime! This was one of the crazy upsets in Stanley Cup Playoffs history!

I'm a lifetime franchise Panthers fan. Most people aren't aware Florida won the President's trophy last season AND knocked off the Ovechkin-led Capitals in the 1st round. This season's modest result was caused by a few major trades, a new coach, & the subsequent transition. For those of us that were paying attention, it wasn't all that surprising, because we knew the matchup favored Florida for many reasons.

Definitely cardiac cats! Panthers have some big talent but the first half of our season was rough because of injuries and learning a new coaches system. I think we're starting to click at a good time! Let's go Panthers!

Not to take away what the Panthers accomplished, but the Bruins turned the puck over in their defensive zone dozens of times th8: series. Florida made them pay for self inflicted mistakes.
Boston scored 5 goals in game 6, that should have been more than enough to win the game. But Florida scored 7 and at least 3 if not 4 of them were off Bruins turnovers in their defensive end. Florida just took advantage of the gifts they were given by the Bruins.

The Florida Panthers have been underrated and not discussed by the broader hockey media. Finally the Panthers are getting national coverage in the second round. Sam Bennett is amazing. Benny and the Jets! Let's go Panthers! ¡Vamos Gatos!

Simple they played better than the other team.
Everyone is surprised… but the panthers were #1 last year. Injuries this year, coaching changes (philosophy) & terrible goaltending kept them mediocre throughout the season in the standings.
But it’s virtually the same foundation of players w/some showing out this year. I’m not as stunned that #1 sees this year lost to a team that was never truly a #8 seed. If you saw this series, you’d know quickly that this was not a 1 seed vs an 8 seed. If the Panthers played like an 8 seed, they’d be home right now.
Boston didn’t give it up, Florida took it.
The Panthers made the playoffs by 1 point. Guess who gave us that point. Swayman. When the Panthers beat him OT back in February. Just saying.

I know it's not your job to be informed on every team. Even if the team is having a historically great season. I am sure you have heard it by now that a few teams did give Bruins fits. One of those teams was the Panthers. I know this is asking to much of you, but chose knowledge over ignorance. Go watch the Panthers v Bruins games from earlier this year. This is not a complete surprise to any fan who watched every single one of their regular season games this year. I am not saying a called it. I am just saying it makes sense considering how they Panthers played against them this year.

Florida fan. I never really thought of it as that huge of an upset. But the sheep will disagree. Panthers were cruising all year long come mf nod presidents cup season and they didn’t manage their schedule right so they really had to grind to squeeze in.
No matter what Florida does from here, they’ll forever be known as the team that upset the greatest team in regular season history. Absolute legends!

That was a brutal series and one of the best I have ever seen .both teams played there heart out . Great hockey.
