Florida is on a roll, it doesn't happen that often especially in playoff hockey, 5 games in a row is incredible, their on a high and sometimes things just go your way, bounces, deflections, but their burying their scoring chances and the goalies are giving them confidence early on with great saves, the hockey gods have taken up residence in Panthers

A team in panic has already lost. And while the Leafs are a great comeback team, they play in panic situations too often and it bites them. Sure it's not over, but it's a hell of a hill to climb moving forward.

After learning how to win a first round series in 7 years, the leafs are learning how to win in the second round for the next 7 years.
The most difficult part for the Panthers will be the layoff. Panthers are riding a wave from the Boston series and hopefully this wont kill their momentum.

Matthews marner Tavares seem invisible despite having stats. When you watch games with Tkachuk McDavid etc u notice them all game where the leafs core are just kind of…out there. Noone making consistent plays all game, simply just skaters out there. They should be even if losing putting crazy pressure on opposition but nope. Leafs are never dominating games through 60 convincingly. Always playing comeback or resting on leads but never closing out games. Even vs tampa they didnt win convincingly, yes they won and wins are wins but to rely on that type of play will bite them. There has been like 1 game where they truly played better overall and it was still only a solid 40 minutes. To have ths roster they have and tonget 2 goals in and not see anything exciting or respectful put there is nuts. None of their guys is taking over games and effectively dominating a full game like you see stars doing around the league. Watch every other series and mostnif the stars even when not scoring are dominating and still having a huge impact. Leafs are soft. Simple as that. They get pushed and its over. If it were non contact pick up games theyd be winning every year but rhe minute the MEN come out to play them and it gets physical they get a wtf attitude and visibly get upset and thrown off as if its not fare or something. Brutal to witness
The core four need to use this to dig down and come up with their best game of the playoffs so far. One game at a time and this ship can be righted.

Leafs need to change their entire strategy. Need to let Florida come to them and play as a team in their own end and generate chances off counter attacks. Need to rope a dope the Panthers.
101- Forecheck, More speed & pressure on the other side, Finish scoring shots, Goalie Saves. On the other hand TO has a few guys making mistakes, a goalie letting in an extra goal, guys not Finishing… In 1 goal hockey games can easily lose.
