  1. It's mind boggling that people don't realize that Knies was concussed on the clothesline/punch. It's laughable to hear the 'nhl-er vs college' BS when he was thrown to the ice. He was concussed on the punch – that's why he had spaghetti legs. Watch the overhead view closely. Then watch it at FULL SPEED. You can see Knies' head snap back.

  2. Kipper talking out of his arse, again, every fan base wud B up in arms about Bennett’s dirty play on both incidents especially the WWE move slamming a player to the ground is not hockey 🏒 it’s WWE I swear Kipper has some kind of grudge with the Leafs idk what it is but It feels personal I wonder if the organization swindled him out of owed pay 🤔he after all should be more sympathetic or angry about a player getting concussed after all it ended his career getting concussed by Ryan VandenBussche in a pre-season game no less maybe that’s why he’s pissed the Leafs never had his back in that game!🤔 And Bennett will continue to do dirty plays if he’s only getting fined just ask Bruins fans 🤔🙄

  3. Knies tries to play hockey so Bennet gave him a concussion whats the problem? Old hockey players are so clueless cause the game isn't as dirty as they used to be

  4. If the league didn’t care about outcomes then why is the high sticking rule 2 mins without blood and 4 mins if the guys bleeding? I love Kyp but his reasoning makes no sense on this one.

  5. Kypreos I usually like, but he is totally wrong ! This is a head smashing into the ice ! 2-3 game suspension minimum.

  6. Leafs were the favourite to win the Stanley cup before game 1 with Florida. Are you kidding me these so called experts know nothing.

  7. The NHL becomes more and more like the NBA when they fail to make the correct call like this. If you watch an NBA game it is so blatantly obvious that there are make up calls and just plain biased calls. This year NHL refs have gone down that same path and the league has reinforced it

  8. But he didn’t get up and he was concussed…that’s the whole freakin’ point Kypper?????

  9. Yes, we are talking about a suspension because of the outcome. The rule should be eye for an eye. You take a guy our for 5 games due to a concussion because of your psychopathic urge to injure another human, then you sit out for 5 games. Equal punishment for man games lost. You take a guy out for his career? See ya boyo. This league is a joke. I don't care if it is a leaf player that injures another, take a seat psycho.

  10. Lafferty should have been suspended for the shot at Gudas. He wasn’t because it was Gudas. Bennett should have been suspended for both the play on Knies and the play on Bunting. All 3 of those plays were garbage moves, the all warranted suspensions. I loved Trouba leveling Meier, I didn’t want Meier to get injured, but that was a clean check, it was aggressive, that’s playoff hockey…Bennett and Lafferty’s plays were trash moves with intent to injure.

  11. Terrible play with intent to harm in my opinion. Regardless of the final outcome theres no room in the league for slamming heads onto the ice. Kyper aint looking at this situation correctly.

  12. I guess he should’ve been suspended. If you think otherwise you’re head is up your arse.

  13. I just hate these kind of comments… "Leafs took foot of the gas pedal"… wtf… maybe they just dont have it, gas pedal was already pushed througt the floor panel…😂. Fla just changed gear, and cruised by.

  14. It would appear that Kypreos still hasn’t recovered from that KO by VandenBussche, because what Bennett did to Knies was deliberate and with malicious intent. It wasn’t an incidental concussion. On the other hand, it could have been avoided if Bennett hadn’t taken liberties.

  15. Hopefully that phone call Dubas got during the game was Shanahan telling him call up Clifford

  16. I don't see as many Leafs fans crying conspiracy when the Oilers lose. It's only malicious on NHL's part when officiating goes against the Leafs. Reality check: every single team experiences the same injustices. You're not unique, you're just the biggest in numbers –> the biggest echo chamber. Canadian teams don't win the cup because they don't deserve to. Until they do of course.

  17. What happened to Knies is exactly why I didn't think he should have been playing. The Leafs did this three years ago with Robertson. In both cases they are kids. That is not an insult. Kypreos said it perfectly: Knies wasn't prepared for the physical play that the NHL playoffs bring. It's not fair to him. And now he is injured. Very sad the way they threw their top prospect into the fire.

  18. So, Makar hits McCann late and gets suspended for 1 game and Bennett throws a guy down well after the puck is gone and gets nothing. They are similar enough to warrant the same result and they don't. I am sure that Kyper will find an excuse to protect unnecessary acts of violence.

  19. So it's OK for a guy to drive the head of a player into the ice as they go down? Forget the concussion, he drove his head into the ice with his hand!

  20. YES regardless of the score and regardless of the nonsense in the 2nd period.
Sam Bennett wrestled Knies out of the gsme and into a conclusion.
The League better suspend that 🤡

  21. Ok kipper …WWE chokehold followed by a body slam where his head hits the ice is not a suspension . What a great league we have.
If thats allowed I am waiting for a guy with MMA experience in the nhl to get in a fight and do spinning back fists and follow it with elbows when he is on the ice

  22. Leaf’s fans are such a bunch of cry babies. Knies is a college player that tried to make a play on a NHL veteran and got buried, welcome to the NHL. Also Knies was the one that initiated the hit and missed, then when they got tangled up he wrapped his legs around Bennetts. In return Bennett extended his arms and put his full weight into him . At best they both get penalties. Knies for holding & Bennett for roughing. This is not even Jin the realm of DoPS.

What’s ironic is Lafferty actually body slammed Gudas earlier in the game, but Leaf fans aren’t talking about that.

  23. Drop the useless game suspensions and make the suspension time last for as long as it takes for the player they intentionally injured to be able to return to play. But then again, that would mean that Gary Bettman and the department of player safety would have to start taking their job seriously instead of just being in it for the money!

  24. These stupid leafs fans crying in the comments is hilarious 😂😂
