"That one guy" in the forum claims he knows body shots.
That was not a liver shot.
During post fight interview when asked for the description of the body shot…
Garcia just stated he was "out of breath."
A strike to the liver would cause paralysis.
A strike to the liver would have shut down his entire body.
A strike to the liver would have rendered him lifeless and grimacing in pain.
A strike to the liver would not have allowed him to be conscious of the 10 count nor his surroundings.
Garcia was hit with a shot that rattled his rib cage possibly removing the air from his lungs.

Ryan lacks the jab and awareness in this fight
For the folks that don't know. Davis knew Ryan was injured pre fight. He targeted that body intentionally. Ryan had an injured rib. Davis would have won regardless but nothing like an A student with answers to the test.
Ryan got his rib fractured in training. Tank had a mole in his camp. Plan was to target his body and fight small/low. Perfectly executed.
I don’t understand why no one acknowledges the fact that Garcia looks like a zombie in there. If he would’ve lost any more weight, that tank punch would’ve past right through him. You need energy and conditioning and to be honest Garcia looked exhausted when he first appeared at the weigh ins. Imagine this, I was betting on tank and after the weigh in the other guy in the bet called it off.

Liver shots are nasty.
truth be told you could see it in the meet ups between them before the actual fight, that ryan wasn't very confident that he would win but gervonte was extremely confident that he would win ✋😳🤚
and fools thought garcia hit hard. any punch he threw tank ate them hoes.
At time stamp 1:05 you can see and hear Tank yell at Garcia right after landing that body shot.

A puncher Ryan should of got tf up and if still hurt took another knee to gather himself
Ryan did not throw the fight but he knew that if he got up he would have to continue fighting and he couldn't properly defend himself while still recovering from that liver shot

I have been looking for videos showing what exactly happened. You don't see it in real time it's so quick. And then you see the force the punch carried right into that liver area. You see the pinch impact and ripple throughout that area. I'm surprised Garcia was able to stand for those few seconds longer. What a fight for sure. Great talent on both ends. Great great fight.
