Maple Leafs have to stop playing into Panthers ‘comfort zone’

Are the Maple Leafs getting too far away from their brand of hockey? How can Mark Giordano keep pace with the speedy Panthers? Is the pressure starting to get to Ilya Samsonov? Mark Masters is joined by NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun to discuss these questions ahead of Sunday’s Game 3.

  1. Maple Leafs v Panthers in Florida
Game 3, who takes it? Comment down below๐Ÿ‘‡

  2. The curse is real! You don't hide children being molested in your arena for decades. End of story

  3. Since 2002 the Leafs have not won Round 2 of the playoffs. Why? Many think Leafs donโ€™t prioritize playoff goalies – this year they even used a college goalie.

  4. Toronto has played one good game this in these playoffs game 2 against tampa we lose this series in 5 not good enough toronto

  5. Oh man, not what you want to see from your starting goalie the day before a do or die game.

  6. With two days off, there is now the danger of over strategizing, instead of the Leafs just playing their game. โœ”๏ธ

  7. LET'S GO PANTHERS
Blow em out, Florida. Make little guy 'mitchy' pout and get all snappy again so we can see what a little bitch he is.

Help us rebuild the Leafs. Send goggles, tubby and Mr fashion (aka Bieber's little crushboy) packing. We don't need you in Toronto and we deserve better.

  8. Sammy is clearly pissed off. Would like to see the guys in front of him playing more pissed off, as well.

  9. Either they do it or they don't. I think the Leafs can beat the Panthers but it's the same old behaviours that they have to exorcise if they want to win and stop beating themselves. GO LEAFS GO.

  10. 'Panthers comfort zone', I'm not buying this analysis. The Panthers are playing Playoff hockey. Leafs need to ADD this 'comfort zone' element if they hope to win the Stanley Cup.

  11. What's funny is Florida said the same thing last year when they got swept. It's funny that the narrative when the favorite loses that they are playing into the other team's comfort zone. Obviously has nothing to do with the other team imposing their style.

Is home ice even an advantage anymore though? It's not like basketball where you are just in shorts and the fans are on top of you. It's not like football where you have 60,000 plus making it hard to huddle up. Hockey and baseball just seem to have lost that advantage. May the better team win fellas.
