GO BOSTON !!
Do you guys think Boston will still have enough talent to be playoff contenders next season
There is no recovering from this epic collapse! No matter what this choke franchise does next year no one will believe anything they say or accomplish!
They averaged 4 goals a game in this series. Should win almost every single game with that average. What happened was our D sucked badly, and our goaltending was average at best. The D and our goaltending was supposed be our strengths, but turned out to be their weakness. It’s as simple as that.
No recovering from this. Hope they eat Taco Bell and get this shits.
Are we still talking about this? Anyhow we don't know exactly what players the team will have next season, so let's just assume there will be enough talent for a somewhat easy playoff birth and hope for the best.
Montgomery did a great job correcting all the mistakes Cassidy kept allowing to happen, without sacrificing any of the offense, so kudos to him. It's a tough thing to lose your 1+2 center, especially defensively as we saw. Not many teams lose their top two centers and win a series. Bad luck. As far as the B's D, well they are who they are: there are no shut down D-men on this team. The closest thing to a shut down D they have is Carlo and he's really just a big dude who can skate well, he's got no other NHL skills. The other D are pretty good offensevly, but on D they are just mediocre. This forward group did play D all year but just could not overcome losing Bergy and Krejci against a quality team like Florida.
Pasta hurt his shoulder???? And it miraculously got better in time for the one game he showed up too?? Sure….. like when he hurt his thumb….. his shoulder doesn’t affect his ability to skate and his hands for puck control to a point, which I recall game 5 he could barley stay on his feet and like the regular season couldn’t hang onto a puck when someone was within 10 feet of him. Any attempt to cover up and deflect from his absolutely pathetic and atrocious track record for playoff hockey as bruin. And blaming the coach i guess is a soft way to look at it but unless the players mutiny against him and make their own lines and go over the boards on their own his changing of the lines for no reason at times (and having them practices with lines they never even attempted all year mid series) and him messing with guys heads healthy scratching them then bringing them back in the lineup then healthy scratch then back in where they never know their role and then not scratching your goalie who is hurt until the last minute when it was already falling apart when the guy behind him statistically wise was a top 5 goaltender in the league regardless is just lunacy and garners complete reason for blame…. I like jim, but boy did he botch this whole thing
I agree with everything Joe said. Also if Bergy wants to come back he has to have 3rd line minutes and let him take key face offs. He and Krejci havnt got the job done after 2011 I think it’s time to move on.
How about trading Ulmark for draft picks?
Monty must go😂
