  1. Hamonic is not a top 4 nhl d man, I don't care whare he's penciled in or what he's signed for currently. How good was he last season…..

  2. I totally respect him making his family the top priority as we all should. I'm guessing he has enough money to live comfortably so makes perfect sense.

  3. Interesting. This would totally make sense about why the Petey/Hughes contracts still aren't signed.

  4. if Hamonic retires and the money gets freed up I'm okay with it , if it's to be with his family I'm good with it too. but if he just opts out for this season with intention to return for the following one no .

  5. It's all about family. If he's double vaxxed and doesn't want to risk bringing this virus home, he's a hero to his little girl. Tough decision, but not really. He has millions…. and what? he's not gonna see his kids for the year? Not an option for any good father. Sucks for us fans, but I understand, respect and applaud his decision.

  6. If he is not totally committed he should retire. We don't need that kind of guy on the team. If it's a vaccine issue he shouldn't be in the league

  7. You think moving olli Juolevi to the right side is a good idea? He looked better than schenn

  8. I would much rather have him playing just because our defense isn't great as it is but if he retires early due to family I fully understand cause I did the same thing for my wife.

  9. Hamonic leaving for the season would leave a big enough hole that I wouldn't be comfortable using that money on Petey and Hughes. They need another guy.

  10. I was horrified by the idea that he would sit out until you gave the reasoning. Now that I know the truth, I would fully respect his decision. Nothing is more important than family. I learned that from the Fast and the Furious movies!

  11. I thought Hamonic was our best D last season, for the last half at least, and he's a bargain at 3 mil. Having said that, family and personal health come first. let's respect each other like Dr. Henry said.

  12. I really believe the Canucks need to look at trading Hughes. Don't know if there are many here over 50 and who played the game. If there are to those I ask has Hughes attitude ever seemed right? He seems a pretty selfish player. If I am right he may win awards but the TEAM will always play second fiddle to HIS asperations. REALLY BELIEVE we should trade him.

  13. You are a good man Mr Clay ,
As my family always taught me , your God comes first , your family comes second and your job comes third . Harmonic is an honorable man .

  14. Look I have no problem with him opting out of the season due to family matters but man he left the Canucks in a shitty situation. Just wish he could have made this decision a month ago

  15. I wish the family of Travis Hamonic the very best, No matter how his situation with family and Career works out.

  16. It's kind of disgusting how everyone piles on the hate Hamonic train with out knowing any real facts except Twitter rumors. Gross

  17. If he decided not to take the experimental MRNA jab with little to no (R.N.D. 15 months) , that does not make him anti-vax it means he does not want to give his body to science while he is still alive with an experimental jab authorized for emergency authorization only. If that is why he is sitting out he has my support 100%

  18. Canucks needs to stay away from againg players Harmonic is wasted of time , time for youth Defense of core is stale free up cap , Who's next Canucks bad luck getting these players , injury prone

  19. So Benning signs this guy to a pretty darn player-friendly deal without figuring out the Vaccine situation and coming to an agreement? Reason number 781 to fire Benning, and Useless-Olevi is reason #1.

  20. It's a bit of a blow without Hamonic this season… but the silver lining is, now we can fit in J-Bone, Juolevi and Schenn. But then can J-Bone or Juolevi cover the right side as Schenn is more of a 7th D-man… ?

  21. Hamonic may still be looking for a trade to a US team, I wonder if there is a way for us to get Manson out of Anaheim in a package deal?
