  1. Chabot is so overrated. I'm so sick of people acting like he's good. He's a defensive liability.

  2. Steve, I've had enough. I've come to the realization that the Vancouver Canucks MUST be folded or moved somewhere, anywhere that isn't Vancouver. It seems to me that they will NEVER, EVER win the Stanley Cup while playing in Vancouver. Thus far, they've had over 50 years and are STILL seeking their first Cup. How many times have expansion franchises which came into the league years and even decades after The Canucks began playing, won the Cup in just a few years? Fold the bloody cursed franchise and start all over again. What we need to do is get an expansion team or buy some struggling franchises team and move them here. The people of Vancouver deserve a team that cares about them.

  3. I wonder, hmm… could Hronek be a sweetener in a possible Pittsburg deal? Somebody Pittsburg had their eye on but Detroit would never consider dealing him to Pitts? Hmmmm…?

  4. As a Yotes fan I like Alex Murello coming in. Expanding the game to all ages and especially getting and driving youth hockey. While yes you can mock the Mullet but its a nice little rink that makes for some very fun hockey to watch. With Guenther coming up, Cooley after that and the appearance of Mattias Maccelli. I absolutely love the kid. The Mullet works for showing some of the best players up close and if they go through the deal with Tempe I think they are a serious look for players to come and play. Jack McBain while is a world destroyer he's solid. A big kid who skate decent, can throw the most but I think he has a little more offensive upside to his game. As a kid who grew up watching Roenick, Tkachuck, Numminen, Khabibulin and Boucher. I hope that Matthews comes with the hope I can see my team win a championship.

  5. I think the Hronek deal is getting more hate than it deserves. Not saying I'm a fan of it, but I'm too worried about it

  6. Anybody else just a little jealous that the Senators have Tkachuk, Chabot, Norris, Sanderson, Chychrun, and freaking Debrincat

Like as a Preds fan I wouldn’t be shocked if we traded them Saros for Sanderson and some magical first later on.

Shut up I know it won’t happen but I am just envious

  7. Ottawa just made the playoffs this year. Teams in the east are going to find out how big a stud Chychrun is. I thought that with Yzerman getting rid of a soft defence man he would go after Chychrun, very disappointed. Yzerman fleeced Vancouver and he has plenty of assets and cap room to get Chychrun. Now I have no idea what Yzerman will do on Friday.

  9. I really hope Vancouver isn't done. As much as I love the guy, trading Boeser for more utility would make this Hronek deal make more sense.

  10. The conditions listed for Ott reaching ECF is for the 2024 pick (as you can see from the asterisk). Condition on the 2023 1st is that it is top 5 protected.

  11. I wonder if the Coyotes can get any GOOD firsts for this year with all the seconds they have. I know nothing about future drafts but I do know this draft is liable to be fire. More firsts this year would be an idea.

  12. Wonder what Stevie Y could do with all of those Arizona draft picks? 🤔
I can’t believe the Wings traded Hronek.
But, as we say in Detroit,
    in the Yzerplan we trust.

  13. Couldn't be more right about Canucks fans and management. Just stupid. There is nothing more coming for the saddest franchise in sports.

  14. I loved the idea of wings making it to the playoffs but the other night showed we got alot to do first. I'll take a haul from a team that by all rights wasn't supposed to do that. Love the idea of using these picks to move up the draft board

  15. I mean look what happened back in 2017 everyone didn't think the Senators would make it to the third round.

  16. I disagree with Steve here: Scratching a player, you want to trade, is fine. You don´t wanna risk an injury.

  17. This is the biggest trade so far this season. Starting next season the Sens will be a serious contender.
The Yotes are tanking on purpose … so why not sit your best player. No wonder they can't sell out their 5000 seat arena.

  18. This will be a 2017 type playoff run. Our team is way deeper than that run all we need is a hot streak and we are in. Greig, Kelly and Boucher will be our Bunting, Engvall and Kerfoot but they are actually grinders and checkers next year. Zaitsev contract for Chychrun contract I'm down.

  19. … oh boy, Canucks traded away a first again.. has anyone checked on Shannon? He might need a friend right now.

  20. Jackets pretty much traded Gavrikov for a 1st, Korpi for a 3rd and then took Quick(who LA made part of the deal) so the money worked. Plus, Quicks actual dollar amount remaining is less than $300k per cap friendly. Not a bad deal at all

  21. The Hronek deal for the Wings is a nice return but the fact that, at least as of now, Yzerman hasn't turned it around for something else, is mind boggling. I get selling high and boy is that high, but you're saying to your team and fans that you are giving up on this year and maybe for the short term because you're not better today than yesterday. And as Dangle always says in the trade trees, picks are magic beans. Maybe these turn into something but maybe not and you won't know for years possibly. The speculation right after the trade was that they were in on Chychrun which I was like YES that would be great because that is an upgrade but…then the Sens took him the day after taking their playoff dreams. Crazy how a week ago we were talking playoffs and now Hronek is gone and I have a feeling Bert will be too and who knows…maybe another guy or two. The Sens rebuild started after the Wings and they are closer to the playoffs and that's even after the Duchesne deal blew up in their face.

  22. Really well done job Team SDPN! Great presentation and analysis.

  23. You read the conditional wrong for the Chychrun trade wrong. The ECF condition is actually for the 2nd rounder for 2024, if they make the ECF the 2nd round pick turns into a top 10 protected 1st rounder. So if earth and heaven move the Coyotes get two 1st round picks from the Senators.

  24. Sens are easily a playoff team if they were in the West.. The roster is actually pretty solid, too bad they play in the toughest division

  25. Not well handled by the Kings. On the other hand, I'd come to the conclusion after the Ranger game that Quick would have to be a healthy scratch for the rest of the year. He's been slightly below the league average (during his resurgence last year) to terrible the last 5 years. Since '18-'19 his GAA is .895, QS% 45 (league average is 53) his GSAA is -61.4. Also, glad they didn't get burned by Az.

  26. WHAT ARE YOU DOING BUYING ? 😂☠️ – it hurts so bad – signed all Canucks fans

  27. I love the Chychrun trade. I feel this is going to be a Kyle turris 2.0 for them. Re sign him to around 8 by 7-7.5 and this trade is an Atlanta fleecing, maybe even a Garth snow fleecing.

And since I'm here, Dany heatly trade tree? The first trade?

  28. After seeing them dominate the wings two games in a row, I think they could make a real push at the end of this season and upset some teams in the playoffs.

  29. Canucks got fleeced what dumb move and they didn’t move miller for a boat load of picks tells ya owners running the team to the ground
