No not yet…he played pretty well down the stretch and the buyout cost right now would be ridiculous. Eventually this should probably happen but no need to do it this year considering we're 2-3 years away from competing.

All the buyout-mongers keep forgetting about cap-recapture: Gallagher's contract is 6.5 million for 4 more years. The cap penalty would be 3.25 million for 8 years. 8 years! That's retarded! Y'all remember Karl Alzner??? We still have 1 more year of cap-recapture for him!
Lol Gallagher his contract bad money and hopefully he retires he got rewarded for playing with to great line mates that added value he will hurt the team for as many years as he plates because of the contract amount and length as for Armia he is a big body player that needs two line mates that know how to cycle the puck like Perry and Stall and he would shine and produce that's his game and with the right line mates he is very good at and a hard guy to defend in the O zone look how he played in the playoffs you need guys on the 4th line that are big body guys hard in the corner guys Gallagher adds nothing any more and was lucky to play with great line mates
He picked it up late in the season keep him at least another year.
