There’s 12 skiable ravines in the Presidentials, from Abenaki at the southern end, to King in the North. While these are often plagued by ice, touchy windslab and bad weather in Midwinter, spring is a welcome change. Stable corn snow and longer hours of day light allow for bigger days and higher consequence descends. This edit was filmed during peak ski mountaineering season and features many different couloirs. This includes the wicked exposed Diagonal and Central Gullies in Huntington Ravine. The famous Icefall of Tuckerman Ravine. The steep and remote Spacewalk Couloir in Great Gulf. The spring classic, Dodges Drop on Boott Spur and the rarely skied Raymond Cataract.
