Which team is the best fit for Bedard?

With the NHL draft lottery set for Monday, That’s Hockey discusses which team would be the best fit for Connor Bedard and what the best case scenario is for the league regarding the projected No. 1 overall pick.

  1. I’d say Anaheim would more likely be the favorite for the league. I don’t think they want to pass up on the marketability of Zegras/Bedard. Anaheim still manages to be a massive (EXPENSIVE) market. They would probably make the most money there. Not to add, the team could possibly strike a deal with Disney and be renamed to the mighty ducks of Anaheim (thus increasing merchandising capital for the league as well as creating demand for new fanware).

  2. Why would the league want him to go to Chicago when they have massive fan base and have been a hockey market for a century? Makes no sense at all

The NHL would love to see him as a Duck or a Shark

  3. Not sure why people are loving St. Louis so much. He's clearly a good coach who was handed a busted/deflated team, and has improved them…but he hasn't coached a single NHL playoff game yet, his team still has a losing record under him, and he is relatively unproven (just like most of the talented young players in MTL). Let's all just settle down and maybe hold off on kissing Marty's ass.
