I am pissed at the nhl letting McAuley ref with baggage as serious as that .let's face it leafs 2 penalties panthers zero penalties. This team reminds me of when the Avs realized that as talented as they were, they could not win with a core 4 of O’Reilly, Landy, Duchene and MacK so they traded them. I would LOVE to hear the explanation of why the Leafs had not 1 PP this game.. there is no way you can tell me one of the dirtiest teams in the league this year, one of the most penalized teams all year did absolutely nothing wrong while the Leafs had 2 penalties? Your telling me the Panthers didn't do "picks" or interfere even once? cause I counted about half a dozen interference/holding calls in the first alone but not one was called, 3 of them even effected possession of the puck which is the DEFINITION of a interference call.. wasn't Wes McCauley the ref of the only other game this season the Leafs didn't have a PP the entire game? hmm…

So glad my dad raised me right on Habs games instead of the more local Leafs. Sure they are rebuilding but at least when they make the playoffs you know what to expect (or end up with a sleeper team that goes on a run).
How many teams win the cup without a strong defense core? The Leafs never seem to have a properly balanced team suited for the playoffs so until that changes get used to this.
Toronto averaging less than two goals per over the last five games. Two goals in all those games and two went to OT, winning one vs Tampa. They simply aren’t scoring goals. Samsonov so much better than he was in Washington where I followed him. Doesn’t wander anymore. I said it then. He needs to fix that. In Toronto he did and has success.
