  1. I'm a Habs fan and I really want him but he's not the next Crosby or McDavid. He's basically the next Patrick Kane. Top 3 player in the league throughout his career but not generation defining like McDavid is

  2. That’s tremendous pressure to put on a young gun👍🏻
If he can meet or exceed expectations then good on him…

But to come into the league with that kind of
pressure not to many players can cope..
Only the truly special will exceed all expectations 👊😳

  3. Bedard a great player but lets not get too excited. Alot of people point out his IIHL worlds perfomance but most his points were on low teir teams and high level teams managed to shut him down. I think hell be a Pattrick kane, maybe a Mathews level player but Mcdavid? Crosbey? Drai? I doubt it but i hope im wrong

  4. I feel like every year people say this is the next great player. Shane wright was supposed to be the next Crosby and was picked fourth

  5. Lmao not a chance in hell. Use your eyeballs!! He doesn't come close to having the IQ and playmaking.

  6. Not only he his already incredibly mature for someone 17…

… but his overall it's probably already like 88 😂

  7. Not fair to Bedard, the fans and the league to even discuss "the next…." Let the kid play and see how he does.

  8. As a Sharks fan I’m just gonna go into the lottery expecting to drop to 5th or 6th. Anything higher is a win. I’d like Bedard, but I really don’t expect it so there’s no point in getting excited until it happens lmao.

  9. Guess we’ll find out because he’s just playing against kids right now come to the NHL against men gonna be completely different.

  10. I'm not hating the kid, I'm hating the media/scouts. Saying that Bedard is anywhere near McDavid or Crosby level is laughable. Crosby was dominant in every aspect of the game and looked like a 25-year-old NHLer playing in the QMJHL. McDavid's skating and puck-handling skills were like something from 30 years in the future, we'd never seen anything like it before. Bedard is just a really talented offensive player with great instincts and an unreal shot. Nothing else about his game is special, and his size/defensive acumen mean he probably won't even be a center in the NHL

His stats are what is driving the hype, and putting up unreal numbers in the CHL isn't the feat it once was–not even half of lottery picks play there anymore. Lafreniere was the same story.

  11. Am I the only one who thinks that he'll be like a Jack Hughes or Mark Sheifeile, Maybe

  12. No prospects are a guarantee until they play in the NHL but it seems pretty likely that he will be the next superstar. Hard to say if he will be on their level though. Can’t wait to find out. I just hope he goes to the Wings. We keep getting screwed in the lottery, time for a little luck.

  13. He’s not gonna live up to expectations. I called it with Shane wright and everyone called me crazy. Trust me he peaked at minors he’s gonna be a decent player but never a superstar

  14. Haha I was going to say, I can't wait for tomorrow!! but wait I thought today is Sunday, my bad… it's Monday oh man!!

  15. In terms of raw skill he’ll never come close to McDavid or Crosby or even MacKinnon/Drai/Kuch. I feel he’ll be a Patrick Kane type player, a franchise player but not a generational talent

  16. As a non native English speaker but still fluent in English, it’s very difficult to understand him the way he speaks !

  17. Bedard wasn’t picked to play for men’s team Canada and Fantilli (hope I spelled his last name right) is on the roster, so my guess that the gm of team Canada knows something that we don’t know

  18. Talent runs in the family. Bedard has a 15 year old cousin Gavin McKenna who's already been projected as a 1 pick in 2026.

  19. He's definitely a 50 goal 110 point guy. But McDavid just put up his 6th 100 point season in 8 years.
Would be 7 if not for covid shutdown (97 points in 64 games)

  20. Take a shot for every "obviously" and you've got alcohol poisoning halfway through the video.
PS – love the kid and his humility

  21. Draft prospects get hyped up all the time… Alexis Lafreniere was one of the worst overall picks ever and he was hyped up like some superstar. Embarrassing
