This is what happens when you believe all the hype and hyperbole about how good the Leafs are from the Canadien media. The Leafs are soft, have no heart, and just got lucky to beat Tampa after being outplayed all series. When you can't win when it matters the most even after bringing in pieces like O'Reilly and Accari, your core is simply not good enough.
One day this clown will realize regular season means nothing once the post-season starts, intensity cranks up, and the game gets harder. The Leafs have proved, without a doubt, once-again, they are nothing but a regular season team. At least now maybe they'll blow this team up and unload all these so called stars who disappear in the playoffs.
If I know anything about the leafs, It is this. They will somehow win the next game just to come home and lose in front of their fans. I can tell you exactly when the leafs will win the cup. Just after Hamilton gets a team.

can anyone in leaf land not see that the leafs are not a team built for the playoffs in the entire matthews/marner era? no goaltending and no toughness equals no positive results, period. changing your starting roster by a third at the deadline doesn't speak to team confidence. just keep rolling with the same five (taking most of your payroll with them), frantically roll the dice with new third and fourth liners every year and see where that gets you! when your goal is to just win the first round, that becomes your ceiling. yay mediocrity!!
the leafs are a joke. matthews will not resign here, and after winning a single round in 19 years you'll be back in a rebuild in no time!

the panthers get 5 penalties against them and complain, the refs happily keep calling against them anyway (while happily ignoring leafs penalties).
the leafs get two against them, the refs throw their whistles over the glass even for obvious penalties.

I was sad when Tampa wasn't able to pull off a game 7 series and win over the Leafs.. But a second round sweep is just as satisfying.. lol Looking forward to doing my annual city walk down the streets of Toronto after their eventual season exit. If you see a guy walking down the street noticeably laughing inside and a smirk on his face.. that's me. Try and punch me Leaf fans.. I will send my lawyers after you all. lol
This pass week I've been having bad diarrheic but the Leafs loosing these pass 3 games in a row is somewhat comforting.
Sharks Vegas, Vegas had a commanding 3-0 lead in the series and the sharks absolutely demolished the vegas team and went on to the conference final. I still have hope for the Leafs.
