Just like Patty Kane.
Go ahead and craft your conspiracy theories.
The Blackhawks have won the draft lottery.
A just reward for the Kyle Beach scandal… apparently.— Craig Morgan (@CraigSMorgan) May 9, 2023

In a league where you can interview a draft prospect early, and lose a first round pick (Yotes), or sign a player to a contract that was legal at the time it was signed, and lose a first round pick (Kovy in Jersey), you can bury sexual abuse for a decade and be rewarded
Edit: i dont even care that we didnt get him. Im heated at the double standard
The Hawks depleted everything they had for picks. I honestly think it’s possible Fantili has a better rookie season on the ducks, then Bedard does on the Hawks
There’s no conspiracy, only injustice followed by clearly allowable conduct.
The league didn’t act on the Hawks, functionally condoning their behaviour by giving them the O6 equivalent of a parking ticket and no hockey-relevant consequences which could have prevented the outcomes seen here.
The Hawks followed this up by legally tanking themselves to a lottery position where what they then received was congruent with the way the system works. Not liking this is reasonable, but no fuckery is required whatsoever.
There is no conspiracy as shitty as it is that they faced little punishment and CM knows that or should.

The comment above is literally the process and honestly nothing more to it. I didn’t see anyone screaming conspiracy for the Canes moving up like 8 picks to second, so really I don’t get it here.
