I was not going watch the Blackhawks after trading Kane. But this miracle happened.

1.) yes what the previous organization did was horrifying. And Hawks fans are the first to point it out. And weâre the most furious w/ it.
2.) Iâm pretty sure the only remaining shit-bag is the owner. And yes, he should be forced to sell. And yes, anyone involved in the coverup should be beggars. But what does that have to do w/ THIS organization? THIS coach? THIS gm? THIS team? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! (again owner aside)
3.) Iâll just enjoy my nice cup of tears provided by 31 other jealous franchises & their fans.
4.) We canât move on if you donât let people move on. No this event shouldnât be forgotten. But you shouldnât hold it over the NEW organizations heads.

As a hawks fan, the hawks should absolutely have faced punishment for what they did, however the thing is that wouldnât have ever effected this draft unless they take their 2023 pick away for something revealed in 2020. Whatever punishment they wouldâve gotten wouldnât have stopped them from getting Bedard.
Given the fact that people are so mad the Hawks won the lottery makes the entire thing oh so even more delicious! đ đ âșïž

Ok, so having the 3rd best chance of getting the #1 pick out of 16 teams doesnât constitute a rigged draft, and anyone who insinuates that is just bitter. It does take a little bit or maybe a lot a bit of luck, but it isnât something that is out of the realm of possibility. Second, saying that the team should have been penalized their 1st round pick for something that was out of the control of the GM/ head coach at the time that it happened is also ridiculous. Permission to make a comparison? The Philadelphia Eagles tanking the last game of the season by playing a 3rd string QB to get a better draft pick should have resulted in the loss of their 1st round pick, and all they got was a slap on the wrist!
