These guys should be on the national broadcast. They know what they are talking about.
They don't match the intensity and grit of the Panthers. Leafs have talented forwards just don't have playoff heart. Tavares tries tho, but his best years are behind him. Florida is a team built for the playoffs. Leafs are not. They just beat a beat up Tampa team and the fan base were thinking they'd go deep? Come on. Not with that team.

In my opinion, Matthews and Marner have become toxic to the other players. There's no way that the rest of the team doesn't see that those two just won't (or can't?) push themselves hard enough.

Simply put Florida is the better team. Florida's top six play with a little sandpaper edge.They are stars but grinders in their own right. Toronto;s top six are star players but are lacking that sandpaper grinder edge.
You know who the Leafs lack? A player like Landeskog. He’s never been the best forward on that STACKED roster….but he’s a leader and will go to war for his team. Look at the Avs last year versus this year…

The ONLY thing wrong in this situation is that they actually won the first round.
an oversimplification but it really just comes down to them not being a good playoff team, there are players on every team that step up in the playoffs and some that disappear, Leafs have too many in the latter category, it's really just that simple
You CANNOT bring Dubas back! HE is the one person who absolutely insisted that he "believes in this core" How can you reward him for that?
The core IS the overwhelming problem, and they have proven over many years that they can't play with enough determination in the playoffs to make a difference.
Anybody check the hospitals for those core four?……they are prone to choking.

IF Mathews is happy he hasn't been able to carry this team. Marner can, and if get him going we get the cup! Better have one doing nothing anyways than none and if Marner is on we win! Give it back to him. Instead of Mathews. They've taken Marners Dessert away from him (Playoffs) after eating the league up including florida for dinner during the regular season. Marner can spark any team. Remember Babcock punished Marner by putting him on the fourth line with Matt Martin ? I think that was Matt Martins only ever 3 point game in his entire career. Id trade Matthews in Heart beat too. I was hoping they did it during the draft for the 4 th pick to get Tkachuk. I think I"m up on all leafs scouting I need a job if your hiring. :))

Leafs can't win because they score fewer goals than the opponents. They must score more goals than the opponent to win. It's that simple. It should be on page 1 in the playbook.

Here's a question. Sam Bennett knocks out Knies. Why didnt Keefer bring the Wayne train in to knock bennets lights out? All teams get revenge for those types of hits. I am so ashamed because if I were coach, I would bring in a player to knock bennetts lights out and show Florida they cannot play that type of game. Again, Keefer is letting this happen. The more I see these issues, this is a coaching problem. We need a better coach…Keefe is done

I don’t mind my fav team losing games or losing a series like this IF they play a good hard game every night…I havnt seen a good 60 min showing from the leafs since game 2 round 1. It’s a miracle they have come this far tbh.

I support two teams that are both blue/white: Everton FC and The Leafs. What do they both have in common? They both are cursed and they suck. But I'm a glutton for punishment, so I'm in it for the long haul.
It's time for a "Attack Mode game plan", stay with the 11-7 lineup. If the final outcome is a 8-6 high scoring affair, let it be. Line combo's that were effective once upon a time- Matthews with Nylander and Jankrok (brings more offensive options then Bunting), O'Reilly with Marner and Tavares (LW less defensive responsibilities on the wall). Rotate remaining 5 fwds in any combo, while keeping the above mentioned 2 lines intact. Roll with Rotation of 3 lines, NOT 4, in 5 on 5 situations. Win/improve Neutral Zone puck battles, very least be even (gm 3-Fla 13-3). Be better "chasing down offensive Rebounds"-2nd shots, especially by the Leafs 3rd high slot fwd. "Attack mode ", Leafs need to play on their toes and put Fla on their heels approach. Go Leafs Go
