[Sid Seixeiro] Dear Leaf fans: I know this is a tough moment but try and remember this…At least you’re not the Canucks who won a bunch of meaningless games down the stretch and instead of drafting a franchise altering British Columbia kid you’re now picking 11th. What an organization.

  1. My friend, we were never increasing our odds that much. Quit dwelling on it.

At least we aren’t Sid Seixeiro, the only guy in the industry with worse takes than Skip Bayless

  3. Romance_Tactics

Copium. It’s a strong drug. When you plan the parade after a first round series win and then blow it against a team that barely made the post-season, I’d probably not want to look in the mirror either.

  4. MentalMulisha1996

At least Canucks fans can say they’ve watched their team in the finals more times than the leafs in the last 43 years . Small victory.. but it dulls the pain

How’s that working out for Toronto? In one year the Canucks won a play-in round, a round against the defending champs, and nearly beat one of the cup favorites in 7. All that is more than Toronto has done in the Dubas era, and the Canucks have managed to get high picks and sign them for less than 10 million. Sure it would’ve been sweet to win the lotto (our luck would never allow that) but Toronto is about to blow it all up. Frickin dingbat.

Sid thought a team should be fined 1 million dollars for 1 player choosing not to play political dress-up. Guy is so full of himself he probably screams his own name while rubbing one out.

  7. Makes sense that this guy puts so much value in losing, cause God damn he’s a fucking loser

Even if we didn’t win these meaningless games, we won’t suck enough to 3rd last OA. At best(worst?) we finish bottom 6 in the league, not enough to finish lower than Chicago. And if we did, we would fall from 3 to 5. Because Bettman will find a way for the Hawks to win the lottery.

  9. Dear Leaf fans:

At least it didn’t take us 19 years and a 1OA to win a playoff round.

E: Even Jim Fucking Benning won a playoff round faster than your beloved Kyle Dubas. Let that sink in.

  10. Some of the replies lol if the Canucks were 3rd worse with players like Petey, Quinn, etc. then I’ll be more concerned the fact that our players suck. Good thing that isn’t the case

    Dear Laugh fans:

The Vancouver Canucks can put up a better fight against the Panther.

  12. ggpurplecobras

Well, Sid, the Leafs drafted a franchise altering player in 2016, and they’re on pace to not have won a game in the 2nd round during the 7 years since that draft. So, congrats?

  13. DepressionMakesJerks

What a low blow.. This is why Toronto media gets a bad rep. Us Canucks fans really don’t deserve any comments like this. It’s like a kick in the balls to the kid who is on crutches

  14. carry-on_replacement

the only upset was in the top (bottom?) 3, and we were never gonna sink down to that level even without firing Boudreau and Demko coming back

  15. JTMilleriswortha1st

🤣🤣🤣 yeah maybe we shouldn’t have won those games but the Caps,Red Wings and Blues didn’t move up either so the difference in picks is 8-11

  16. TheRealTollah

What a complete and utter moron.

We never had a shot at 30th place. Not ever.

  17. JTMilleriswortha1st

I’d much rather be a Canucks fan than a Leafs fan. Which is hard to say because being a Canucks fan sucks the majority of the time

  18. saint_godzilla

Lol, takes like this are why Tim left him.

  19. Did the Canucks win meaningless games, or show that they’re actually not that shit when they aren’t relying on an AHL goalie to be their starter.

The media seems to forget that Pettersson is only a year away from being eligible to put the Canucks in the same situation that Tkachuk put the Flames in. They have to show him there’s still the framework of a competitive team

Maybe you could argue that Bedard long term has a higher ceiling than Pettersson. But the Cnaucks would also lose Demko and Hughes as UFAs along the way if they sucked, so they’d still be worse off

  20. TheOdiin

The Canucks have won the same number of playoff series as the Leafs ever since they got Matthews lol

  21. Well they realistically could’ve drafted 6-12 at best. 🤷‍♂️

  22. CanadianPFer

This guy is an insufferable twat. I don’t know how he still gets airtime.

  23. sydster_d

We were nowhere near bad enough to finish below any of the 4 worst teams this season.

We weren’t going to ever be bad enough to get there unless we traded both Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson.

With that said, did anyone notice that the 4 worst teams are making the 1st four picks.

So all of our winning didn’t hurt us at all.

The way I see it, from #6 through around #13 (or even a little lower) there’s ample talent available and all of those players are really close together.

I’m predicting that both ASP and Reinbacher go in the top 10. I think even Tom Willander *could* as a late riser (and in my opinion the best all around d-man in the draft).

That would potentially drop a guy like Zach Benson to us if we want him. I think *Willander* should be available. Moore and Danielson are centers and one (or both could be there).
